    The Official "I ordered" thread

Well, four months and eight days I think it was, from completed build to arriving at the dealer.

    The Official "I ordered" thread

Two full weeks? I can only imagine your language if it turns into four months, like our '19 took.

Have you gone airborne in your car?

Are we talking Hellcats only, or cars in general (but not as in Lee)?

    For 60K what’s your 3rd Car?

Are you trying to make me take a trip to West Texas? I just finished putting all the tie down straps and stuff away 20 minutes ago, dang it.

What's the fastest you've driven your Hellcat?

Yikes! Here they're far more tolerant. For example, outside of towns and such, if caught out on the open highways a ticket doesn't even go on your record. Just pay to play.

    For 60K what’s your 3rd Car?

Thanks, Magnified, but I really like the earlier versions with the dual headlights. And some that are older yet. Either way, I need another car like I need another hole in the head. I just hauled two to CA to get sold there, and that was on the heals of a Jeep Commando chassis and two other...

    For 60K what’s your 3rd Car?

I've been lusting for a beater Rolls, or better yet a Bentley, for a long time. The ones I like ('70s) don't cost much, but since they have TH 400 trannys I could blow the balance on a very healthy GM V8. With a blower, of course. Either that, or a regular cab Ram 4500 cab and chassis with the...

How many Forum members here own a Ram?

Yes, they have improved quite a few things on the Gen 4 over the years, but I still prefer the '10 through '18 design. And the '19s still don't look nearly as bad as what GM and Ford (especially) offers, I think.

How many Forum members here own a Ram?

So I'm not the only one that noticed? I can only hope that my '14 1500 (my foul weather car) and the '17 3500 stay together for a long time. It's bad enough that I have to see my girlfriend's '19 3500 every time I walk outside.

What car would ever make you ever consider trading in the Hellcat?

That's the beauty of a Miata. Other than certain men, nobody notices them.

What car would ever make you ever consider trading in the Hellcat?

Oh, I've had other light cars with a fair amount of power, so traction isn't the only way I'm challenged.

What car would ever make you ever consider trading in the Hellcat?

Okay, I came across a car that would probably be as fun as the Challenger; The Flyin' Miata. Basically, it's a Miata (which I'm not a fan of) with an LS3 engine. That's over 500 hp in something that probably weighs well under 3,000 lbs. Best of all, it looks just as lame as a stock Miata. In...

Dodge Put the Wrong Wheels on 173 New Challengers and Chargers

Considering the new Jeeps have become as large as a school bus, and with more doors, it makes sense.

    Wheel Weights

If I remember correctly, when installing the Indy 500s, one wheel didn't require any weight on the inside.

    Wheel Weights

You found a good place, it sounds like. Those are rare these days. With an out of whack setup, the Hunter will even ask you to measure the wheel run-out, then say how much to rotate the tire on the wheel. But keep in mind, too, that the wheel with the least amount of weights is generally not...

    Wheel Weights

I can't recall if I've ever seen a modern vehicle with aluminum wheels that didn't have clip-on weights on the inside and stick-ons on the outboard side. Oh, wait, I have. Dual rear wheel Rams with aluminum wheels come with clip-on weights on both sides.
  17. Jimmy N.

    Wheel Weights

No, thankfully I've never had to deal with anything like that. And the Hunter road force machines are beyond great, I think. Mine's quite old, but it keeps doing its thing. It's too bad that they aren't completely fool proof yet, and that so may operators use the Smart Weight setting instead...

    Wheel Weights

People curb their wheels as it is, and by using stick-ons for the outer side, at least the weights won't get scraped off. Also, some feel that wheel weights are ugly and would rather drive unbalanced than having visible weights. Modern balancers usually have the option to hide the outer weights...

What car would ever make you ever consider trading in the Hellcat?

Oh, it's still obvious that it's a Porsche, and that much it still says on the back. What it doesn't say is if it's $97,400 or $190,700 (plus any options) 911. It's basically the same thing as that I'd be tempted to put V6 badges on my Challenger, if the base model had them.

What car would ever make you ever consider trading in the Hellcat?

Like that, kinda. I've taken many cars places they shouldn't be. But there was usually nobody around. I wouldn't mind driving a Veyron as long as nobody saw me in it. Actually, as long as nobody saw it. Right or wrong, I prefer to stay low key. I'm slowly getting my girlfriend to see things...
