0 offset is the middle of the wheel exactly so a negative offset moves the mounting pad centreline toward the inner portion of the wheel barrel, and a positive offset toward the outside. Arguably a 0 offset is best as it even aligns the wheel over the hub centre and manages mechanical loading...

It is a case of managing the thermal properties. You are either trying to contain heat (for efficiency (exhaust)) or reflect/insulate heat from things you need to keep cool. I did find it interesting that the cold-loop intercooler pipes are un-insulated; even the hot discharge side...

LOL - I get it, I do. But, I am building a whole car right now (turbo LS MCSS) and getting that road-worthy for the Spring is my priority. Building cars is much more rewarding than an afternoon of bolt-ons.

Back when we were dating (13 years ago) I used to baffle my wife with my ability to drive stick and still do two other things with my hands (shift gears, use a phone, and drink a coffee). The car didn't have cup holders and hands free hadn't been invented yet... and she couldn't drive the car...
