Here's a little something I've been toying with since I got the car.
The design technique is called negative space - the idea is to highlight what is normally deleted by the eye to shape the image in your mind without being obtuse or blatant about it. I've got a few different designs...
I dunno... traction control seems to screw up my driving technique more than anything. It is an inner ear thing when the car tries to rotate around you and you instinctively catch it. But, I've been racing cars around corners for about as long as I've been racing in a straight line.
Environmental virtue signaling is starting to have a negative economic impact up here. I'd imagine some sobering up is going to occur. Viability.
As for 707/717/797+, only incremental changes until the next wave of cars. The V8 isn't going away - but, maybe PD blower induced torque is.
I spent an hour shovelling to facilitate the jostling of cars - had I left it I'd have been skidding all over the place as there was about 2" on the ground.
The Vanishing Point plate will go on the back for racing. I'll put the proper plate on the bracket and leave it in the trunk , and claim...
Stage 3.
Das Barton. You probably noticed that there are two grips in the picture above, one showed up damaged and Barton replaced it without question. Good business. Anyway, swapped the inserts and shook a leg using the Wiki as a guide...
Stage 2.
HP Tuners bypass cable installation is pretty straightforward IF you already have your car torn apart for a shifter install. Basically this cable gets installed at the mid-point of the shifter install (see the Wiki). Getting the connector to unclip is a bit of a trick as you will be...
Stages 1 to 3: Sto-n-Go, HP Tuners bypass cable, and the Barton.
Stage 1.
Not a whole helluva lot to this, it is two screws. I added two grommets to hold the screws in place and to help make up the space where the old screw heads fit into the recesses.
Cross country canonball run ready!
Did some actual work yesterday. First step was to uncover everything and play musical cars.
The wagon was blocking the Kitty in:
Then out came the big white whale:
Took some beauty shots:
Snow banks for scale.
Tossed it up on some ramps and got to work.
I am really tempted to delete the factory mid-mufflers and rear mufflers and just substitute some chambered Pypes Violators (and keep the active exhaust valves) - these should give more the classic muscle car sound we all want (despite a lack of overlap) and none of the drone.
Blatt is bad.
Fast powerful car is fast and powerful: more news at 11.
As impressive as this is - I am not sure how this is supposed to hold my interest for more than a moment?
Drag Coefficient
0.337 Cd
0.382 Cd (Challenger SRT Hellcat standard body models)
0.398 Cd (Challenger R/T Scat Pack Widebody, SRT Hellcat Widebody models)
LOL... should have got a V6.
I literally took a mental health survey today regarding depression - and I lied. 6 foot high snow banks and salt slurry are still everywhere... but things are melting. Finally.
About a month to go.
Orange crap on everything would be a pretty good indication of MMT usage, and grounds for voiding Mr. Warranty. You might be able to pull and change 16 plugs (brand new - LOL) but not every nook and cranny full of Dorito dust. That said, I am not buying the addition of methanol to the mix being...
This should aid in finding suitable Bundy fittings for at the valve covers/blower snout: https://www.fittings.space/coupler-fittings/bundy-fittings/bundy-fittings-hose-barb.html#q=&idx=live_site_default_products&p=0&fR[categories.level2][0]=COUPLER FITTINGS /// Bundy Fittings /// Bundy to...
