I think you're going to be okay with 2.5oz with the lighter bias ply tires. I believe they wanted to put 3oz in mine but err'd on the side of caution.

Thanks. Because I had them on hand (like new from DW 2016). Originally (IIRC) M&H was the first to market a 28" tall tire for a 17" rim, and I had good results with them over the years so I didn't hesitate to run them on this car. They have a pretty soft sidewall.

The 555R and 05R are different beasts. When I had 05Rs on my Turbo Buick I was still pulling the same 60' times when they were new and well worn - the big difference being that car had an adjustable 4-link and these cars are saddled with IRS.
