This car will never see a track again, she is for sale after break in miles.

Lightning struck twice in the same spot. Massive amounts of white smoke from behind car. Hemi friend stood behind car and said literally. “No fucking way thats oil.” It is either moisture or e85 being pissed into the cylinders.

@Jon-MooredPerformanceLLC is off for the day and rightfully so, he works hard. So we cant dial back fuel on start to see if thats it. Calling a few places on Monday to see if I can get catch cans that vent to atmosphere.

The reason I am ruling out rings haven't seated is that I beat the piss out of this fucking thing. I mean getting it up in rpms and then engine braking hard. Have a dyno appointment this week, car will sit till then.

Fingers crossed it’s just a fueling thing man! Yes, can be turned off via the tune - UPR suggests it for the breather they sell that has the caps for the blower for driver and passenger side. I just pulled my intake today and even though I have a breather on oil fill there’s still oil in that sensor smh. UPR had a very nice setup that runs both side to the same can (just a breather) that has a breather on top of it, and 2 caps to close off supercharger

SUCKS to hear :(
Do a leak down check, that’ll tell you how break in went. I would have done a leak down test before first start even and an after break in check. It tells so much about cylinder health in lieu of a blow by meter.
Smoke in the exhaust is never good or normal.

Was your catch can full? Because if it wasn't, it would be very unusual for it to have sucked in enough to cause a noticeable effect.

If it was full then that's a different story.

Does dyno shop have a blow by meter to measure blow by while running? Or at least measure crank case pressure. Does it only smoke on start up? What does the smoke smell like? Overly rich E85 you can smell it, coolant you can smell it, oil you can smell it, if it’s just water vapor it won’t smell like much of anything and go away quick. Nothing low coolant wise? Intercooler or engine Coolant?

I dont care at this point to do this. Just need the car to not smoke and be gone. Im over this car. However thank you for the tip.

Ill check in the am but doubt it.

Dont know if dyno shop does. Coolant bricks were tested as MMX had that same concern. The smoke does go away quick just a lot of it. Smells like fuel, doesn’t smell like oil.

I’m at the end of my rope with this car. Id rather take a loss on the car as a trade than deal with it anymore. Im going to try the catch can and see if that help. Ill sit down with Jon when he has time and get startup dialed in. After this dyno it will sit till it decides it doesn’t want to smoke. Ill be boroscoping my car tomorrow to see if the downpipes have water in them.

Another possible source of water is condensation from chiller operation after sitting for 30 minutes to a couple hours after a drive. However, I've never seen or heard of enough condensation forming inside the motor to cause the exhaust to billow white smoke on start up.

I could only imagine the frustration, SUCKS to hear it went sour again. I’d be thinking of lighting and no fire hose atm myself. If it clears up in a few minutes after starting it’s probably not ring seal, I’d be leaning towards coolant in a cylinder. Run it until exhaust is clear, shut it down, immediately vent any pressure that may have built in the intercooler and engine coolant over flow tanks, leave the caps cracked until the car cools off again. Close caps and start it again and see if there’s a difference in start up smoke or not. If it’s gone your onto something, if not next I’d try fuel. Again, start up let run until no smoke, shut down, vent fuel pressure, either via a schrader valve on a rail or pop off the fuel line from the rail, just be sure to cool off the exhaust manifold first with some water. Let sit 1/2 Hr or so and start again looking for a difference. If none then I’d be suspecting oil from a valve guide as next culprit but seeing such is tough and would require removing the SC after a run and sit time and looking for a wet intake valve top.
You use studs or stock bolts on the heads?

Also I just don't care enough anymore, need it to stop smoking and then I can offload it. It should have just fucking worked. Yet here I am, under water 20k and my ass cheeks worse than a baboons

Sucks dude, crappy situation. I don’t understand how engine #2 could be doing almost the same thing. I know where I’ll be staying away from if I ever get an engine built

How much max timing up top in the break in tune? Not suggesting a tune issue just wondering about cylinder pressure.

Yea, raw deal no doubt. Try the suggestions I made, simple to do and might uncover something. You may have a coolant leak from a oring around the super charger brick to manifold connection. Your borescope inspection idea may net a wet cylinder or 2 as well or show something. On E85 the pistons, chambers, plugs, everything should be pretty spotlessly clean yet, any abnormally in one Wood point to that being a suspect cylinder. Hope you find something simple 🤞🏻🤞🏻

My chiller here in FL caused a hard start in that time frame till I added some fuel to the hot restart section. Still lopes a little till it cleans up.

The kit is actually pretty nice. I sourced my own AN fittings for the 5/8” lines for the Hellcovers

I should have went with that, but didn’t know what I needed to turn off
Neither do I, no codes have popped, yet, I'm sure I have pending.
