What did you do to your Hellcat today?

That it is. Don't know about this one yet (not broken in) but the '21 I had took the curves better than the 'Cat, I think. Being less nose heavy probably helps, but it could also be that I would feel a lot less bad about wrapping the GT AWD around a tree, or tumbling down a 300-foot slope, and...

What did you do to your Hellcat today?

No, I wish. Stayed at the homestead since I could hear that the road was wet (and probably salted). They tend to do our road somewhat late, understandably prioritizing the main roads. Next time we get a decent snowfall I'll definitely be out there going as sideways as possible.

GM Says Selling EVs Even At $30K Is A Hard Sell

Would you believe that gas stations are also somewhat few and far in between here? This is an alligator free zone, remember?

GM Says Selling EVs Even At $30K Is A Hard Sell

I dunno. There aren't any EVs around here. Much like with E85.

GM Says Selling EVs Even At $30K Is A Hard Sell

I'm sure glad mine runs on normal gas. Otherwise I'd have to tow a trailer with a tank of E85 around if wanting to go somewhere.

What did you do to your Hellcat today?

Okay, so it's not a Hellcat, and it was yesterday. Took the "little Challenger" for a test drive in snow. First something in the rear was leaving tracks, then the entire undercarriage, but it kept going...on OE summer performance tires. I'm impressed. As the splitter shows, it was about eight...

The Deals Are Starting To Happen

Picked up a Ram 3500 (Cummins, Aisin, air suspension, etc.) earlier this week. It was 10% off the sticker. Plus, they paid a couple of hundred more for the traded in '19 3500 gasser than we'd paid for it. Although, it was really the free 43" Toshiba TV that made it a good deal.

What did you do to your Hellcat today?

I peeled some of the tread off on a couple of the eight drive tires on my Pete after it had been sitting for a while in humid SoCal. Plenty of torque to overcome the stuck brake shoes, apparently. Can't really not set the parking brake on those things. Either do it when stopping, or they'll...

Seems Like Hellcats Are No Longer On The Most Stolen Cars List

Apparently. Or they wouldn't steal crew cab cars.

Seems Like Hellcats Are No Longer On The Most Stolen Cars List

Look at the positive side of it, DavidKFla. Those kids are helping beautify the USA, one stolen taxi at a time.

Seems Like Hellcats Are No Longer On The Most Stolen Cars List

It's interesting that the Charger shows up so often. Is Uber a crime syndicate of some sort?

Seems Like Hellcats Are No Longer On The Most Stolen Cars List

Desperation. Why else would anyone want to steal a KIA or Hyundai?

Anyone Tow their HC with a 1/2t?

Took a quick peak and it looks like the air springs and mounts can be had for $330 (-20%, today anyway). Also, there seems to be more or less complete kits ranging from a bit under $1,000 to almost $3000.

Anyone Tow their HC with a 1/2t?

I'm not surprised. It's not exactly their market. When needing air springs for something I generally peruse what Firestone has to offer. Their web site has hundreds of springs to pick from, so it's really only a matter of finding the ones that have the correct measurements and load carrying...

Anyone Tow their HC with a 1/2t?

I dunno, "...all the extra forces..." are no different than when grabbing the handles of a wheelbarrow, really. And once adjusted, it's two levers to pull to tension or remove the spring bars. Not a lot of work for much added safety (handling and braking, mainly.

Anyone Tow their HC with a 1/2t?

Yeah, the 68RFE isn't the best transmission, but they can be made to work and live. Although maybe not by a dealer.

Anyone Tow their HC with a 1/2t?

Why not a WD hitch instead, which would help much more than any air spring ever could.

Anyone Tow their HC with a 1/2t?

Ah, those are easy fixes. A simple locking dipstick from a parts store would've taken care of the transmission potentially puking, and the grid heater relay could simply be disconnected. I have my grid heater disconnected and the 6.7 still starts just fine. At least down to -10.

Anyone Tow their HC with a 1/2t?

That's interesting. Every one of the ones built in Saltillo (2500s and 3500s) we have or have had have been flawless. The three 1500s are a different story, with the '14 being the worst (missing interior parts, very misaligned door, etc.). all concentrated around the right rear of the cab...

Batteries...in cars meant to be powered by gasoline?
