18 Wheeler On "Tail Of The Dragon"!! 😳😳

So I should've lost my CDL because I definitely could have hurt or killed somebody driving on the road leading to my house? But does it only apply to CDL drivers? I would imagine that people texting while driving puts many more lives at risk. And they may not even really know how to drive in...

18 Wheeler On "Tail Of The Dragon"!! 😳😳

Which still doesn't mean that he can't drive well.

18 Wheeler On "Tail Of The Dragon"!! 😳😳

Maybe so, but he still drove that road very well, I think. To me, a 'tard is more like the guy that tried to pass me in the middle of an S-curve one day. In the right turn my trailer tires were a bit over the fog line and the left steer tire about three feet from the guard rail. Then, in the...

18 Wheeler On "Tail Of The Dragon"!! 😳😳

If you check out Latigo Canyon Road you'll find that it's comparable to the Tail of the Dragon. Just add RVs and the occasional tractor trailer. A weekend without a motorcycle crash was almost a rarity. I would generally leave very early in the morning to avoid meeting any vehicles.

18 Wheeler On "Tail Of The Dragon"!! 😳😳

Okay, not familiar with the restrictions on that road. Ironically, where I lived there was a perfectly good and reasonably straight road that did get restricted to anything over 8,000 lbs., because of the grade, which made some tractor trailers use the 10 miles of the very curvy road I lived...

18 Wheeler On "Tail Of The Dragon"!! 😳😳

I dunno. Looks like he did as much as humanly possible to stay in his lane with that length trailer. And stopped when there was approaching traffic that "wouldn't fit". Having lived on a very similar road, and sometimes pulling doubles, I can relate. Except two turns were so tight that both...

    Stellantis cancels auto shows

Well there's your problem. You should never buy a vehicle that's limited. For example, my 3500 Tradesman is quite versatile, but I still only use it for towing. And the Omaha thing was a misteak. I really wanted python.

    Stellantis cancels auto shows

Seems like you have failed miserably so far, getting little 1500 pickups instead.

    Stellantis cancels auto shows

It is kinda comforting to have a couple of diesels with no electronics whatsoever.

    Stellantis cancels auto shows

Maybe that's a pity thing for known multi-door buyers. Or, they want the the vehicle to be at the dealer asap, before the orderer succumbs to an alligator?

    Stellantis cancels auto shows

I only know about customer service/the tracker for two out of maybe 15 orders, when I did try to follow the progress. Or lack thereof. I learned a lot trying to find out about a '19 Challenger order. Primarily not to believe anything that customer service said. That time it became kind of a...

    Stellantis cancels auto shows

I wouldn't go by what that site claims. It seems to be about as accurate as the crystal balls and dart boards they used in the past.

    OCTOBER 2023 HFCOTM POLL

Well, yes. She keeps it under 100 for the very most part. And doesn't pass at nearly the speeds I do.

    OCTOBER 2023 HFCOTM POLL

Best I can tell, bugs (and birds) can't really deal well with things that move at over 100 mph. There are far fewer bugs on my 3500 even though it sees much more bug rich environments, and many more miles. But it generally gets driven at only 80 mph. Come to think of it, my girlfriend's...

Another Year, Another thread on Winter storage. Please post up, what do you do and what do you use. IE Batteries, Fluids, Cover, you know the rest!

I have indeed surpassed the 22 year limit that for whatever reason (okay, there were several) I though was going to be the end of me. Of course, at the time, being 17 or 18, that seemed like a very long way into the future. But either I survived against all odds, or this is being written by an...

What did you do to your Hellcat today?

Some places do, but when getting 5% back I don't mind the 3% so much.

Over Half Of EV Buyers Will Buy ICE Next

That I doubt. But what's working against me is that within 50-100 miles they'll know who it is anyway. Okay, it could be my girlfriend, since the cars look a lot alike, but she wouldn't try to outrun them.

Over Half Of EV Buyers Will Buy ICE Next

Aside from that their radios don't work in many places around here, much like cell phones, it's doubtful that the other two State Police units would sit fully charged at the station waiting for a call.

Over Half Of EV Buyers Will Buy ICE Next

This EV craze may not be all bad. Our delusional governor announced that all state owned vehicles should be EVs by '35. Since that would include the State Police and Sheriff (hopefully not the fire departments), it'd be painfully easy not to get caught on the roads here. Unless I'm at a 1/4...
