I thought I'd wake up the Trackhawk Forum

Mine's very quiet, as is my girlfriend's Redeye compared to my '18 'Cat, but I don't mind that one bit. Now, the exhaust sure seems to make a lot of noise after 500 miles when I step on it, and is louder than my 'Cat's, and much louder than the Redeye's. Odd.

    ChallengerFest 11 Fall 2020

Hmm. I still haven't checked if the 'Cat fits well in the toyhauler. But if it does, a friend of mine in Kentucky wants me to come out and run the Tail. This Fest is more incentive.

I thought I'd wake up the Trackhawk Forum

Clayton, if you're referring to my red 'Hawk, thank you! I'm really enjoying it, but only managed a bit over 500 miles on it so far. Tomorrow I'm hoping to change the oil, then the weather will supposedly turns ugly again. Of course, that's what I bought it for - to be able to listen to blower...

    The Official "I ordered" thread

Pierre, I'm glad you took my post the right way. But I'm still a bit butt hurt because of Magnified having no compassion for my well founded anxiety. Then again, he has a Charger. Those are probably only ordered by municipalities, then sold as surplus. Yeah, looking at it that way, I feel...

Trackhawk is dead no more better grab one while you can

Clayton, I think you'll really like a Challenger. Had I not driven and enjoyed a Challenger before getting the 'Hawk, I would've probably thought "Man, this thing is quick!". Well, it is, but those extra pounds sure make themselves known when accelerating. Full disclosure: I have only made a...

    The Official "I ordered" thread

Well, part of that wait was obviously that they had to start production of the Trackhawk in the first place, six years later.

    The Official "I ordered" thread

Okay, I'm out of patience now. We ordered a Trackhawk on 2-12, and it's STILL not at the dealer. I'm starting to better understand Scatpacksam's frustration. Should probably call customer service and ask them what the heck is (or isn't) going on. Jeez, you'd think it was going to Mexico or...

    The Official "I ordered" thread

I suspect that he was before ordering, and then it got worse. That was all over on "the old forum". Anyway, he'd call customer service several times per day, post some 5-10 times per day (in various threads) about his agony after not getting his car within a month or so. Making it even more...

    The Official "I ordered" thread

Glad you look at it the right way, Pierre. If for no other reason, because I'm not sure I could endure another Scatpacksam.

    Traction / Stability Control

Not a fan of traction control, but I must admit that my '18 saved my butt big time when I foolishly ran through a sweeper at nearly full throttle. I could feel the electronic gizmos doing their best to keep me on course. And luckily they succeeded. Yes, I could've gone through that curve...

Shape of your paint when you received your new Hellcat?

Paint? You guys got paint on your Challengers?!?

    The Official "I ordered" thread

No, not really. But what's funny is how she decided to order the car: She did a coin toss. She really likes her Macan, which will go bye bye, so it wasn't an easy decision for her.

    The Official "I ordered" thread

She's partial to Granite. It matches her Porsches' Agate Gray. And, of course, her Redeye.

    The Official "I ordered" thread

Okay, my girlfriend just ordered a Trackhawk. It would be embarrassing if it shows up before Pierre gets his 'Cat.

Trackhawk is dead no more better grab one while you can

It just dawned on me that at least you get slotted rotors with a Trackhawk...unlike those measly Redeyes.

    The Official "I ordered" thread

Yep, they put whatever on there, and ideally a full load. Your 'Cat will not ride in perfect company, unfortunately.

Trackhawk is dead no more better grab one while you can

I would think that the actual speed, and amount of passing (floored on 2-laners), is more influential than if it's a freeway or any other kind of road. Although, since I have yet to be able to maintain over 85 mph due to the break-in period, I can't speak for real life mileage at this point...

    The Official "I ordered" thread

It's probably not all that many of them heading that far south, so logistics is likely the holdup. Hang in there, Pierre.

Trackhawk is dead no more better grab one while you can

I knew I couldn't be the only one who likes driving like that. Well, minus the phone.

Trackhawk is dead no more better grab one while you can

That's what I use to go around curves. Saves wear and tear on the steering components, but does decrease mileage a bit. Especially rear tire mileage.
