    Yes, I do have a small V8 in my Jeep, but it's mostly helpful in the dunes and on the road. For the most part, about 30 hp is all it needs for the 'wheeling I do.

    I'd have to swallow hard to buy a Miata. But if it was even remotely close to being a sleeper, I would probably consider it. Good thing it's not, as swallowing may be part of Miata ownership from what I hear.

    It's pretty sad when I can't think of another vehicle I love, let alone really would want, that I don't already have. Or maybe that's a good thing? Admittedly, I am eyeballing a cheap Jeep J8, just because.

    Same here. The nearly mandatory summer afternoon thunderstorms, but rarely a full rainy day. As far as quantity and ferocity goes, living on a ridge in SoCal was miserable. Not that it rained often, but when it did...

    I commuted to work with a crappy car, three on the tree, non-synchro 1st, for about four months. That drive took me through the Capitol, by the way. And your example above is another reason I don't like all the current nannies. You can't crank your way to anywhere when the starter won't work...

    Hmm. I've never driven my Challenger in rain. It's been either dry or snowy. It does much better in the dry.
