Hurricane Fuel Economy Sucks, Keep The Hemi!

Nope. An M936A1 this time. Wanted something capable of pulling those mere 16,000-lb. vehicles out with.

    Amber Alert...."Missing Person"..

Maybe I should go, too? I have an unsettled score with those Russians. Supposedly I own a forest somewhere in Estonia, which would be fun to see, but primarily I'd like to get even with them in regards to the ship yard, houses, etc. they confiscated from my family.

Hurricane Fuel Economy Sucks, Keep The Hemi!

I may just have found "Eco". My latest acquisition supposedly gets 3-4 mpg, and it's a diesel. It remains to be seen if it'll dethrone the current champ, a 232 straight Six (gasser) which gets about 2 mpg. And that's after I put a new carb on it that can be adjusted. With the stock carb it got...

How much wheel weight is acceptable?

They're not exactly rare these days, and the Hunter web site shows who has them. Besides, there's really no point in using anything but a road force balancer. If one wants well balanced tires, that is. I wouldn't even balance my trailer tires on a regular balancer. Not when it's so easy to get...

How much wheel weight is acceptable?

There's no need to dismount the tire. A Hunter balancer can measure the rim's run-out, tell where the heavy spot on the tire is, and how much (if any) the tire should be rotated on the rim to have the two cancel each other out as much as possible. Of course, it does require someone to put the...

How the hell did you get that closeup of Hickster's nostrils??

Hurricane Fuel Economy Sucks, Keep The Hemi!

    Okay, but for how long?

Hurricane Fuel Economy Sucks, Keep The Hemi!

Well, if it had been a 6.7 diesel I would've understood it, but it was a 5.7 gasser that got better mileage than the Furd.

Hurricane Fuel Economy Sucks, Keep The Hemi!

I used to do a bi-weekly 1,000-mile commute from here to CA, pulling an enclosed trailer with a 5.7 powered Ram 2500. One trip was done with an F-150 EcoBoost. It pulled the trailer fine, but used more fuel. Quite a bit more. Apparently there are cases where it takes more energy to perform the...

How much wheel weight is acceptable?

I dunno, Eric. She hasn't mentioned anything along those lines, but that doesn't mean much. Last time she drove a Challenger was in my measly V6, by the way. No records to be had with that one, except in mileage.

How much wheel weight is acceptable?

Sheesh, Eric, he didn't even bother to tell the machine to hide the weights behind the spokes?

    Amber Alert...."Missing Person"..

My father may not always have treated me right, but never so badly that he deserved getting a Furd. Instead, I gave him a nearly pristine Jeep M38.

    Amber Alert...."Missing Person"..

Alright. I suspected it was because you showed up at the track with a taxi. Guess I shouldn't blame the car....this time.

You really think that's because of the exhaust?!?

Squeaky exterior door handle on chargers

I suppose it's not a little thing when having four of them.

To the Ford lovers or haters.LOL

Maybe because it's minute as in very small, as opposed to 1/60th of an hour?

    5038041AA vs MO-049 vs 04884899AC

Maybe it's the wrong thing to do, but I've had no issues using the factory filter and recommended oil. I change the oil early for the first time, and use magnetic plugs, but it still works fine.

Kinda would, yes. Except that El Caminos had fairly large beds. Either way, that's better than a Ranchero.

There, I fixed it for you.
