What did you do to your Hellcat today?

It's in St. Clair, at a Cadillac dealer. I sure hope they get a late start on that transport as it looks like more storms, hail, and tornadoes along the way today. If nothing else, a spot on the lower deck would be a good thing.

What did you do to your Hellcat today?

DGatzby, could you please keep the weather in your neck of the woods, and WSW of there, under control for a few days? The new "new" GT AWD is leaving MI early this week on a transporter. I can only hope it's on the lower deck with all the hail and crap that seems to be a daily occurrence now.

What did you do to your Hellcat today?

Hunter, and DavidKFla, consider that the more alligators you pluck out of the water, the lower the sea level will get.

What did you do to your Hellcat today?

I recently came across a flood zone map for this place. I think it said "high danger", or something to that effect. And yes, it's obvious that a whole bunch of water came through here at some point, or there wouldn't river rock only about four feet below current ground level. But that must've...

What did you do to your Hellcat today?

Yeah, I did the 2-day about two months ago, and suggested she'd also do it. Unfortunately for her, it'll be much warmer there now. I brought my own accommodations, she's catching a plane today. Probably wearing a jacket and driving to the airport with the heater on, to practice for AZ temps.

Brand new redeye still landing at dealer

Sorry Eric, forgot to respond to this portion of your post. Both of us going to ABQ at the same time isn't happening, unfortunately. Somebody has to be on animal duty. Is Gus big enough to take over your old 'Cat when you buy that new one?

Brand new redeye still landing at dealer

I'd take rusted rotors over people having test driven a new car, anytime. The rust goes away after a few brake applications, but you can't get the time back to break everything in (especially the gears) properly.

Brand new redeye still landing at dealer

Bad ideas?!? Sounds like great idea to me. The sell-trip went fine, and in the process I learned how she consistently gets just over 24 mpg. Yes, she did stomp on it twice when passing, but where I tend to go 100-120, she did 80. And where I do 80 she did 60. Haven't entered today's fill-up in...

Brand new redeye still landing at dealer

I managed. We came back about an hour ago. And she was driving her 'Cat, me in the GT, so any attempts at fleeing would've happened on the way there.

What did you do to your Hellcat today?

Not my 'Cat,but we used hers to go drop off her GT AWD at Carmax.. She needed to get reacquainted with it anyway, before going to Radford next week.

Brand new redeye still landing at dealer

What are you waiting for, Eric? Or don't you like the color? By the way, we almost ended up in your 'hood, but Carmax outbid Carvana and we can drop off the "old" Hellraisin in Santa Fe instead of in ABQ. Well, that's tomorrow's fun and games.

    Blackstone Oil Analysis

And that was at night, in February, right?

    Blackstone Oil Analysis

Here's somebody else's report, same engine, different application. More comments, because the fuel dilution was starting to affect the oil. Just like it should be, I think.

    Blackstone Oil Analysis

Not sure what they should've commented on, other than the comment that's on the report, when it's a near perfect sample. And the first one. Besides, something got lost in the translation of the paperwork I sent Amsoil, so they commented on that they couldn't provide meaningful results in the...

    Blackstone Oil Analysis

Well, it's easy enough to find out what ppm of what would be the norm for an engine. And the idea is not so much to see only the current results but see trends as more samples are taken. But obviously it'll only take one sample to see if there's something unusual that needs attention. Saved me...

    Blackstone Oil Analysis

I would imagine that the reports look quite similar. It's how the two labs arrive at their data that differs. There's one important number that Blackstone supposedly uses some formula to arrive at, rather than actual analysis results. Similar to Ram's algorithms for oil pressure rather than...

    Blackstone Oil Analysis

Yes, it's a thread about Blackstone, but for more in-depth and telling analysis I prefer using Oil Analyzers. It's the same lab that Amsoil uses if you send your samples to them.

EV Sales Are Just Getting Started?

Ouch!. Two wrongs making a right, somehow??

    WELL...IT FINALLY WENT

Hey, on the positive side, I'd rather have an HF charger in the garage than an EV. At least the HF fire will be easier to put out.

    WELL...IT FINALLY WENT

2nd, the voltage is only part of the equation. An important part, but still. Took these photos today to show how some chargers/maintainers apply voltage and amperage. They range from basic (a $180 NAPA charger, but with 12/24 V capabilities) to a really nice PulseTech. Yes, it doesn't require...
