Wow! I think I saw 6,000 something made for '18 and thought that it was a low number. Guess if I order a '20 it could be a collectors item of sorts...one of 500 built, or something.

Matt, I have a bone to pick with you. This thread got me thinking about buying a car, and nothing wrong with that. Except now it's looking like I'll end up ordering a Trackhawk. And I wish it was only a 3rd car. I already have far too many. Please don't start any more threads like this.

I have almost recuperated after the last two ordering episodes, so not to get too comfortable again I'm considering ordering a Trackhawk. It should arrive by early spring, right?

I couldn't tell you how many times I've been told "You need to come in and we can talk about it". My response is usually that it shouldn't matter if I drive 150 miles (one way) or not, the price should be what it is. Financing with the dealer wouldn't bother me, as long as there's no prepayment...

The driving season was already over (the first one should've made it in time, barely) so there was no rush anymore. Of course, the second one arrived very quickly, while I had hoped for a spring delivery.

Well, we weren't willing, either. When it became obvious that the car was "stranded", and the likelihood for damage (and numerous cold starts) was somewhat certain, we ordered a new one. Sure enough, when the first one eventually arrived it was damaged.

In the Rockies, so not exactly next door to the factory, but it could be farther, too. Actually, once it finally got on a train it went somewhat quickly. But for whatever reason, after it was built, it just kept getting moved between different yards for months.

Well, four months and eight days I think it was, from completed build to arriving at the dealer.

Two full weeks? I can only imagine your language if it turns into four months, like our '19 took.

Yikes! Here they're far more tolerant. For example, outside of towns and such, if caught out on the open highways a ticket doesn't even go on your record. Just pay to play.

Yes, they have improved quite a few things on the Gen 4 over the years, but I still prefer the '10 through '18 design. And the '19s still don't look nearly as bad as what GM and Ford (especially) offers, I think.

So I'm not the only one that noticed? I can only hope that my '14 1500 (my foul weather car) and the '17 3500 stay together for a long time. It's bad enough that I have to see my girlfriend's '19 3500 every time I walk outside.

Oh, I've had other light cars with a fair amount of power, so traction isn't the only way I'm challenged.
