Crap. That doesn't look promising for you getting yours.
If I understand it correctly, you need it. Thankfully, I need one like I need another hole in my head.
Trust me, that's not friction material from a diff with clutch packs.
For one, it looked and acted just like the mild steel chips you'd get when using your lathe.
But more importantly, the helical gear diffs in Ram pickups have no clutch packs. As you can (barely) see at the top of the photo...
No, level plug on a Ram. No clutches in that one, and friction material wouldn't be sticking to a magnet anyway.
Look at the nice curly pieces of metal.
I do, first thing. About the only way to see when the oil finally gets up to enough temp to step on it.
In your case the problem would likely be that the oil's too warm. And without looking at the performance pages, how would you know when to go remove the alligator pieces from the air intakes?
I wouldn't know if most of the functions work or not. All I use is the gauges in the performance pages and the Sirius screen.
Seems like the 5 version in the '21 TRXs is quicker than the 4 in the '18 Challenger. I haven't driven the '19 Redeye enough to remember how its 4 works. My girlfriend...
Yep, that's my understanding.
I suppose (if this happens) that I could learn to live with all the extra fluff the other trims include. Or, with my luck I'd end up with a third Stellantis vehicle where the radio station knob becomes inoperative when the performance pages are up.
That odd flaw...
I should probably order one now. Looks like I'll have about six months to come to my senses, and when the day comes (or sooner) I can always get my deposit back.
And maybe, just maybe, before it goes into D1 they might offer the base model which is what I want.
Well, crap. I can't quite shake the idea of getting a Durango.
According to the dealer it'll cost $98K. When looking at what they want for used ones, that's not bad. But what is bad is that they can't order a base model yet, which should be about 91K.
So, I'd end up with stuff I don't want...
I dunno.
But I did know from the get go that I didn't want any of that crypto crap. You are aware of the Furd FTX, right?
Well, two wrongs still don't make a right.
