I wouldn't tow with a 1500, but is has to be better than doing it with a Durango. Only certain swamp people and DGatzby do that.

AlfaOBD is about $50 as I recall. And an MX-2 (or whatever they're called) another less-than $100. But in your case, an extra $15 or so for a bypass cable ('18-up Dodge, and probably also Jeep).

Yup, they can be a bit different acting, but it seems like the function is there on most any FCA/Stellantis...at least from '18 and up.
