    Toyota’s new WATER POWERED CAR

In California that's not much different from an EV. Brownouts affects the EVs, not allowed to use water (which is also common) would be about the same thing.

    Insurance

I'm at $650, but with two more vehicles and otherwise similar policy. Except no riders or "extra acreage", which is something I've never heard of before. I guess that includes the guest house, garage, barn, hay barn, etc. The stuff occupying some extra acreage.

    Insurance

Yep, my 'Cat has gone from about $50 per month to over $80 in about two years. But the TRX seems to have stayed at $75. Odd.

Winter tires for the truck, Preimum or Cheapos?

Speaking of raining. This should be right up your alley, 1971. My favorite dealer has $16K off on a '24 1500 Laramie. Of course, MSRP is almost $70K, so it's still not cheap for a car...even if it has a little bed on the back.

Winter tires for the truck, Preimum or Cheapos?

Not the only way necessarily, but the Pilot Sport All Season 4 is one of the very few with any kind of actual all season performance in a 295/40R22. And even then, they're not the correct speed rating. But that doesn't bother me, just like it doesn't with the Challenger's tires. We just don't...

Winter tires for the truck, Preimum or Cheapos?

Yeah, this has been a tired year. New drive tires for the 3500, new Contis for the GT AWD, new tires for the horse trailer, new tires for the 35' gooseneck, new tires for the Durango, and much better tires for her 3500.. And it's not over yet. Her RSQ8 will get Michelins before the winter...

Winter tires for the truck, Preimum or Cheapos?

That's how I drive in the summer, too, not wanting to come to a complete stop unless I have to. Of course, it's mostly the 3500 that gets subjected to stoplights and stop signs, and its exhaust brake makes it easy to hardly having to use the brakes at all. Basically, if I have to use the...

Winter tires for the truck, Preimum or Cheapos?

Maybe I should point out that one reason I really liked that curve is that a failure would only result in dropping into a river maybe 20 feet below. To me that's a lot more appealing than either a 200+ foot plunge down a steep slope, or smacking into a rock wall on the high side, which is how...

Winter tires for the truck, Preimum or Cheapos?

Yup, that's where I go to find out how tires compare. For pickups and station wagons (aka SUVs these days) I usually don't even bother with ones that aren't 3-peak rated. And when I do, for the wagons, it's generally the Conti DWS06 that gets bought. One thing worth mentioning, 2ndAmend, is...

Winter tires for the truck, Preimum or Cheapos?

Well, if I ran snow tires I could be changing them twice a day. Starting out at 20 or so degrees in the morning, the snows would be fine, but when it's 60-70 in the afternoon I'd have to stop and switch somewhere along the way. Of course, there are times when it doesn't reach 50 during the day...

    FS '19 Challenger Redeye WB

Yep, made it to Levelland and back. Somehow. It was 104 degrees along the way. Of course, we hit 90 yesterday, which must be a record. At least I've never seen it that hot before.

Winter tires for the truck, Preimum or Cheapos?

When picking tires for most our vehicles I look up their snow and ice ratings on Tire Rack. Using tires based on low price has never worked well for me, except in applications like for trailers that never leave the property - and traction is not a consideration. Like with so many other...

What did you do to your Hellcat today?

I must've trained this girlfriend of mine right. Yesterday evening she went out to sit on the deck with a glass of champagne. I took for granted that she was looking at her new Audi RSQ8 that was delivered earlier in the day. Wrong. When she came back in I asked, and she said "No, I was...

    FS '19 Challenger Redeye WB

This may not be the car for you, Magnified. Called my friend today to find out his current feelings about selling. Okay, so it has very low mileage and has always been in a climate controlled garage in Arizona, but... Basically, he doesn't want to lose money on it, somehow thinking they've...

What did you do to your Hellcat today?

Mine's still there. I know because I went into that garage today. Really need to drive the poor thing, it's been a while, and before it snows again. Of course, the other day when changing oil in the 1500 I noticed that I haven't put gas in that one in over year. Now that I can blame on that...

    FS '19 Challenger Redeye WB

You're putting me on the spot here, Magnified. I've been talking him into keeping it. Do I do the right thing and keep telling him to keep it, or do I give some strange Texan his contact info? If you're serious, PM me and I may put the two of you in touch. For a fee, of course, since I feel...

Long time away, good to see you all - LOOKING FOR INFORMATION ON A 2020 CHALLENGER RED EYE

They sure do. I'm looking at taking mine out and make room for a spare tire. When driving the 'Cat I don't hear the stereo anyway, if it's even on. Too much else going on.

    Collectability?

Not if the dealer shows the VIN, which they generally do.

Long time away, good to see you all - LOOKING FOR INFORMATION ON A 2020 CHALLENGER RED EYE

I hope not too many click on that. In the past I was told by a dealer that a car I'd been eyeballing had a lot of interest lately, so they weren't willing to negotiate much. Well, that interest was mostly me, having upped their click-counter a lot over two days.

I can lay low for a while and make room for CC if that'd help. Got lots of derogatory Furd comments pent up.
