Are we still in Driveshaft Purgatory?

Yup. A lot of factors in play. The funny thing is a 10% increase in these cars is in the range of 70 to 100 horsepower. 70 to 100! The threshold for the point when stuff starts breaking is really low when you consider the starting point is a minimum 707 factory rated horsepower and...

Are we still in Driveshaft Purgatory?

Disclaimer: my wife is driving us to Montreal right now so I have time to kill with a long winded diatribe. Admittedly I don't have enough experience to speak to that exact figure in this platform. However, a full weight Hellcat with 25-30% more power (the typical advertised Hellcat Stage...

Are we still in Driveshaft Purgatory?

LOL - do you really want to know what I think? Frankly the aftermarket for these cars is rife with sensationalized BULLSHIT brought to you by the usual scumbags looking to separate you from your money (through fear or self-induced cognitive paralysis). Any Hellcat made after 2015 does not have...

    2020 GT500 goes 10.6@133!!!

The front strut tower brace (cast magnesium IIRC) and carbon-composite core support are very telling about material advancements in this car. Additionally the aftermarket for our cars should be embarrassed at the rudimentary engineering behind a single bent steel tube - there is very little...

    Exhaust Difference?

I was informed that my 2019 Challenger has resonators in place of the normal mid-mufflers. Why? Totally unsure. But, with the air grabber style hood and air box the blower is very pronounced. That being said, poke your head under the car and see if you have glass packs or case style mid-mufflers.

    2019 "Poverty Pak" Widebody Challenger

Revised configuration details came in (edited above), a couple more oil filters, and a replacement handle for my Barton shifter. Plmcrzy and Barton are great folks to deal with.

My Procharged TBSS will kill a Hellcat stoplight to stoplight with its AWD and extra mass. Pick your battles fellas.

    2020 GT500 goes 10.6@133!!!

Cool another fast car to get excited about! Stop orchestrating the pathetic dick measuring contests between cars it makes you look flaccid and insecure. Put the ruler away and do your own thing.

    MY TRANSMISSION REPAIR 8hp90

I recommended using a pressure transducer and data logging it against a run about 20 pages ago.

    "Project Demons Breath"

Shame you found the weak link in that last driveshaft the way you did, it was obvious that it had some inherent design/material selection flaws upon inspection. It is my opinion that a lot of shops capitalized on those early driveshaft failures and threw what they knew, or thought they knew, at...

Thank you (NOT really) to the town of Frederick Colorado RE Sales Tax

I understand that it is a matter of principle. But, relatively speaking it is pennies.

    MY TRANSMISSION REPAIR 8hp90

Edited my original post with more accurate information. I do believe you are correct about the engines being done in Mexico (more lax environmental standards for casting procedures equally a better quality output). FCA is licensed by ZF to produce their own transmissions and therefore will...

    MY TRANSMISSION REPAIR 8hp90

Pretty sure those HC ZF8 transmissions are built in Mexico https://www.zf.com/mobile/en/company/company_profile_zf/locations_worldwide/north_america/mexico_locations/mexico.html). Germans can engineer things all they want, but if you don't follow the specs this is what you get. I'd be willing...
