Thinking of going to a 2.85 and 100MM TB!
yes no maybe?
2.85 would be a good improvement. Pin the crank also. You may see no gain with the throttle body. Jon went into the 8s with a stock redeye engine with only pulley and fuel changes

I bet at sea level I could maybe get a 9.9x, but here at a mile high + I'm gonna have to add some power!

At that altitude I would have more trouble breathing than the car!

Negative DA's are almost like cheating! ;) Which is why I wait for the right day... :)

Nice runs!

I took a quick drive today to blow the cobwebs off and get the oil warmed up before the hibernation.

To accomplish that I did two things. First was to make a cover for the oil cooler so I didn't have to drive up the road to 10,000 feet (hear that, 2nd?) like I usually do to get it warm. Then the fob needed a new battery to get it started in normal fashion.

Covering the cooler helped quite a bit even at today's 59 degrees, but the highest reading was when idling down the driveway - then it reached 185 degrees.

Also noticed a trend when looking in the logbook. It got a full tank of gas on 5-13-21, then on 5-27-22, 5-30-23, and finally on 5-13-25. So May is when it traditionally gets fed.

It was so friggin' nice to drive it. I may take another drive or three if the weather holds.

The bummer is that I'll have to drive very sedately because of the ancient tires.

Backed the M6 out of the garage to drive to the store. It started snowing! Pulled it right back in and took the truck... :(

Ya know... Blackpack (recycled asphalt) it cheap and makes a great surface. And you can buy new tires... One more set should make it through the rest of your driving years... Or most anyway. Besides, the dry tires make for great burnouts! Just don't let them catch fire! :ROFLMAO:

It's easier said than done to buy new tires these days.

Ordered a set earlier this year, and when they arrived two of them had date codes from early '23. Tire Rack claims that "new" tires are still perfectly fine to sell for up to four years. Meanwhile their parent company (Discount Tire) won't mount or repair tires over six years old.

Since I didn't want to give up two years of usable tire life I returned them, then never got around to find fresh ones. At this point that can wait until late spring.
