No quite that bad, they are not like a Tesla. The battery is like $2k (when I checked in '22) plus labor, but who knows what it will cost in 5y. Regardless how much or little it will cost, it is completely unnecessary.
It's a chunky looking electric motor they mount above the timing cover on the driver side that is in loop with the accessory belt to add more torque into the system.
You can google image search 'ram etorque' and see what it looks like. kinda fugly.
You can see that the bracket covers 3 of the coil packs... and accessing the bottom bolt requires going in through the wheel well and everything that entails...
