    Order Restricted!

I learned to really appreciate active sway control (Reese and Husky) during my 1,000-mile "commute" every two weeks. That was with a Ram 2500 and a 16' enclosed trailer. Ironically the anti sway was most appreciated on the return trips, when the trailer was empty, and passing tractor trailers...

Well, then you shouldn't blame the 2500 for the bad ride quality. And it probably wouldn't be much better in a 1500 with that load in the bed, as it would be on the bump stops.

And what tire pressures were you running? With the as-delivered 80 psi in the back the ride quality suffers big time.

    Order Restricted!

Yes, I'd say so. They tend to take the unrealistic J2807 test numbers and run with them. I've seen some press photos where whoever pieced them together had no clue what things weigh in real life. The worst was a load of lumber behind a Ram 3500, which realistically should've been hooked to a...

A '14-up 2500 rides about like a 1500, especially with the optional rear air suspension. At least if the tire pressures are correct for the low (or no) load. And you probably know how the second trailer wiggles around back there when pulling doubles, regardless of the size of the tractor. Well...

Mine have not been fine, but that could be because my balls aren't big enough. Or, that I've looked at the size of the brakes and other chassis components. Possibly also because there's no way not to notice even an empty trailer back there, wanting to make itself known. And succeeding. I may...

Towing slowly with a 1500 is not a bad idea, regardless of what engine it has..

Guess I should give you some credit, 4pac, for not only putting up with excess doors, but also several wimmin.

Should still be the same year...unless he fiddled with the chassis number.

    911 Turbo Coupe For Sale

Luckily, she's not considering selling that one. If I got to choose, the GT4 would go away, but she figures that the TRX can do what the Q8 does. And it can, but not quite the same way.

    911 Turbo Coupe For Sale

Yep, they sure know how to make cars handle. Heck, look at what they've accomplished with the 911. I think you made a very good choice and will like the Macan a lot. We may even have a set (or two) of WeatherTech floor mats and a rear seat cover left over. Seems like she orders them up within...

    Remember the Honda Mini Trails

Had a 60 cc Benelli version. Promptly blew the engine up. Put a 125 cc Zundapp engine in it, which oddly enough pretty much bolted up. But there wasn't enough room between the front wheel and the larger engine. No problem. Installed the longer forks from the Zundapp which created the needed...

    911 Turbo Coupe For Sale

No, she never had a GTS, but two of the S version. 400 hp if memory serves me, and they were very nice cars. I put smaller wheels on those (as usual, basically), and more suitable tires for here, and even though she's a handling connoisseur she liked them a lot. I'm guessing she'd still have a...

What did you do to your Hellcat today?

With an 80% chance of rain today, and 70 for tonight, the 'Cats get to sleep outside and get treated to a free car wash. Hopefully there won't be any hail.

    911 Turbo Coupe For Sale

Figures. All this Porsche talk, and now she wants to order a base Cayman. That'd be her third, not counting the GT4. But then she also claims that she doesn't need seven cars. I'm arguing that the Q8 isn't exactly interchangeable with a Cayman, so not the best one to trade in. At least she's...

And that's the advantage of a long driveway...by the time I get to the road the performance pages have loaded.

Ah, I meant the night vision we're born with. Which doesn't like having light directed at our eyes.
