10 Top Cities To Stop At Along RT66

At least they didn't suggest stopping in Gallup.

This Porsche Turbo S Is Nice

Only a little off subject. So what?

    One TOUGH Lady!

Sure they would. If it's five of them, they're well armed (and preferably inside a tank), and she only has a tire iron.

Stellantis Has Equipped Cars With Emergency Alert System

If it would alert me of nearby law enforcement, it wouldn't be all bad. The rest I can do without, including the irritating (federally mandated) stupid backup camera. And I should look into disabling that wonderful feature that prevents backing up with the door open.

This Porsche Turbo S Is Nice

That's Agate Gray in Porsche speak. Very similar to Granite.

In my case it's probably waiting for some useless tech add-on, which I don't want in the first place. Worst case, they forgot to install the sunroof (which I really don't want) and are now cutting a big hole in what was a perfectly good roof. We'll see what happens. If nothing else, pretty...

My Durango is a 5N7 and bounced between BX and BG a few times. It was built a month ago, but seems to have gotten stuck after that. Still no window sticker.

I don't get quite that much, usually. On the other hand, the fees for 25,000 lbs. of luggage would probably outweigh (no pun intended) the cost of fuel. Plus, I like towing and hate flying, so I'd drive no matter what.

    One TOUGH Lady!

Not just tough, but also brave. Those split rims can really mess you up.

Well, they are a step above the Honda Ridgeline. According to the commercials anyway.

Funny you mentioned that. Two weeks ago I put higher rated (speed and load range) on two trailers. On one because I didn't trust the brand, on the other because I noticed to my horror that they were from '15. And both sets were 65 mph max. Now, with the new tires, I can go just over 80 - which...

    Order Restricted!

Many lock out 6th gear when towing with the 3.42s. Helps the trans stay alive and keeps the engine temps down. I like driving fast, but when using my girlfriend's 2500 to tow the 911 pictured earlier, it was a bit fast even for me in 6th. In my 3500 with 3.73s (and the shorter DRW tires), it...

Ram Truck Owners Have Wandering Eyes

Statistically I should've been asked when in the 'Cat instead, since about the only time someone could ask is when I'm getting fuel. Which is far more often than it was with the V6.

Ram Truck Owners Have Wandering Eyes

Maybe thieves do, even though it's debadged and has gray calipers. But the only time anyone ever asked "Is that a Hellcat" was when I was driving the V6.

Yeah, for '19 up they finally went to 3.73s.

Nice! Bet you wish it didn't have the 3.42 gears, though.

Well, the 2500 is only weight limited on paper, thanks to the max 10K GVWR, but a 1500 really doesn't have any actual load carrying capability to speak of.

Ram Truck Owners Have Wandering Eyes

Umm, it was unlocked, with the keys in it, just like the 'Cat. Not that I know what the difference would be, since except for the wheels the two looked practically identical. Unless potential thieves would open the hood and check before deciding which one to take.

Ram Truck Owners Have Wandering Eyes

I had a '14 1500 with the V6 for years. A very dependable but quite boring car. Then a Challenger with the V6, which was fun to drive. Thanks to the AWD and less weight it handled better than the 'Cat. In other words, I have nothing against the V6, or the 8-speed. Also, I much prefer the...

Ram Truck Owners Have Wandering Eyes

Yeah, I don't know how I put up with the ancient Cummins and the Aisin with a mere 6 gears. Potentially because it'll pull 25K without a whimper, and could go for 500K miles with just basic maintenance. And that old 6.2 in the TRX...don't know what to say about that museum piece. Good thing it...
