I ORDERED AN E-TORQUE BY MISTAKE!!! CRAP!!!

Hmm, 1500 and towing capacity? Sorry, doesn't compute. Well, unless you actually believe the J2807 numbers.

Now that sounds like something your wife would say.

    Who didn't see this coming

While making any changes, yes, but the cable doesn't have to stay there. Actually, for security reasons it shouldn't. By the way, I remembered wrong. It's '18 and up that needs them.

    Who didn't see this coming

Hmm. As I understand it, anything after '18 needs that security bypass to be able to change things around in the computers. But once that's done, there should be no reason to leave it in place. My only experience so far with AlfaOBD is with the '17 3500, which doesn't need the cable. And if I...

    Who didn't see this coming

No, not yet. So far (and it's been a while) I've been trying to find out if there's one cable that could be used in more than one vehicle. Although, having sold the Trackhawk and the other Challenger, at this point the cable would really only have to function in the TRX.

    Does Race Gas Go Stale?

It seems to have more to do with how it's stored than anything else. My 200-gallon tank has a vented cap (which I'll try to eliminate soon, since that tank just got filled again), while the cans are completely tight. Ethanol or not doesn't seem to really matter, though. When vehicles filled up...

    Does Race Gas Go Stale?

About three weeks ago the 200-gallon tank with ethanol free 91 octane ran out. Needed to fill up a couple of small vehicles and grabbed three good (air tight) 5-gallon metal cans from the garage. Put some Star Tron in them, since I've had very good luck with it, let them sit over night and then...

    Who didn't see this coming

Hey, very much appreciate the offer. I'll likely need all the help I can get. What I'm curious about at this point is if your trunk mounted bypass would work on a TRX...which doesn't have a trunk.

I ORDERED AN E-TORQUE BY MISTAKE!!! CRAP!!!

Hmm, let's see here. Choice A: Get the Ram for a good price and enjoy a (most likely) trouble free vehicle. Choice B: Forfeit the deposit, get a Furd F150, and practically be guaranteed to have problems.

Thanks. I need to edumacate myself on those things. Thought they went under the dash.

    Who didn't see this coming

Hmm, if that's indeed true all I'd need is the bypass cable. Emailed the manufacturer of the most commonly used one about a year and a half ago (when I got the TRX), but still haven't heard back. Guess it's time to buy from some other outfit.

POLL - Do you want the EV (MY24+ Dodge Charger Daytona Banshee) offering from Dodge SRT???

That's good. Those EVs need both positive and negative to work at all.

Ram Shortbed Regular Cab Is Gone

Mine's also far from top of the line. Would've really liked to have a heated steering wheel, but realized that I'd rather freeze a bit every now and then than have to always deal with a touch screen...which is a must for getting the heated 'wheel and seats. Heck, I even ordered it without the...

Ram Shortbed Regular Cab Is Gone

Ah, yes, the Ramcharger. Wish I'd remember how many bags of cement I crammed into the back of one. Plus four people inside. Those bump stops got the workout of their lives. All nine of them, in one trip.

Ram Shortbed Regular Cab Is Gone

Okay, that's funny. Not so funny is how much that poor 1/2-ton is squatting. Must be some 300 lbs. in the back to get that kind of rake.

Ram Shortbed Regular Cab Is Gone

I don't mind the AWD/4WD. But a lower 2WD sure would be fun.

Ram Shortbed Regular Cab Is Gone

I'd love to have one. But there's no chance whatsoever that they'll make a Gen 5 regular cab. At least not for the US market. There's some weird emissions related rule that makes it tricky for them to have a small footprint (physically, as seen from above). As I recall, a regular cab longbed is...

Ram Shortbed Regular Cab Is Gone

No, they sure don't. That one was my first, and somewhat predictable lesson in 1/2-ton towing. Tried pulling my (empty) 16-foot enclosed trailer. No thanks. Later tried with an empty 16-foot flatbed behind the '14 Ram 1500. Again, a big no thanks. Best (okay, least worst) so far was that same...
