So I just drove the Nurburgring

Maybe, maybe not. But could be just as exhausting. And expensive.

Challenger Clocked At 111 In Georgia. He Was Being Tried.

We had ritual killings in gravel pits of our $50 (or so) winter cars in Europe...especially if they still ran when the registration expired in the spring. And if they didn't, it was fun to open both doors (yes, they were mostly multi-door cars) and then run into them with the Jeeps. Sometimes...

Challenger Clocked At 111 In Georgia. He Was Being Tried.

Ah, motorcycles. Yeah, some guy just about took me out when stopped at a light...and he didn't, doing maybe 50. As soon as the light turned green I gave the Wide Glide all it had, caught up with him and proceeded to kick in the sheet metal, starting with the rear fender and working my way...

Challenger Clocked At 111 In Georgia. He Was Being Tried.

I would feel pretty crappy if such a move resulted in them swerving, then crashing. And possibly taking out innocent cars in the process.

It won't have to. I'll limit it even more. I treat every new car as if I'll keep it forever. Then some lucky soul ends up with a vehicle with 700 to 1,800 miles on it that has been treated better than some treat their better half. Myself included.

Challenger Clocked At 111 In Georgia. He Was Being Tried.

Sorry, but I have no idea yet. The odo still shows the same 13 miles as it did when I picked the V6 up the other day. Spent some quality time pushing buttons yesterday, getting rid of as many nannies and automated features as the system allows. Oh, and removed the one tiny badge on the...

    Never Lift - Stay Tuned October 2021 - 2023

And they will likely be in pristine condition. Nobody reads the manuals anymore. Not when the real truth can be found on You Tube and on forums.

Are you insinuating that building back better isn't?

    FS '23 Durango Hellcat

I doubt that it has active damping, but either way, accessing the performance pages is as easy as on a real Challenger. It's keeping the channel selector functional that is the issue. I'm starting to wonder if it has to do with if the radio has nav or not. The '18 and '19 may have it, I dunno...

One way to learn is to get one with the dial-a-gear "shifter" on the dash. That way you may get Reverse instead of a lower volume, or vice versa.

Those buttons kept me from buckling up while going past the garage and steering with my leg. Then they did work, just not as intended. When driving, not so much. We don't have any stoplights nearby, and not a lot of straight sections of road. It's one thing to reach over to a knob that's always...

Oh, great. Engines (and cars) built by ex Furd employees. What could possibly go wrong?

I have wondered why they have them. But since they're there, it's nice to be able to see temperatures and pressures.

Five doors?!? That's worse than a Charger.

    FS '23 Durango Hellcat

Okay, I'm not just a basic idiot, but a complete idiot. Asked the sales people to make sure that on this Challenger SXT the channel knob would still work when the gauges are up on the performance pages. Sure, they said. Well, I was too busy being happy that the non-shiny brake pedal cover was...

So I just drove the Nurburgring

Hmm. When I read that I thought "That perfectly describes the road I drove today to pick up the SXT". But thankfully that road isn't a loop, or I wouldn't be back with the car on the trailer.

What did you do to your Hellcat today?

No, just normal ones. And I've only seen two so far. There's enough free space that there's no reason for them to get close to houses and such.
  18. Jimmy N.

What did you do to your Hellcat today?

I don't think the SXT has any badges, and neither does the 'Cat, so there's nothing to switch. And no, I'm not moving. I like this alligator free 'hood.

    It's a slow version of a Durango.

Oh, and we are talking about the Audi, right? I'd want something larger/more substantial for the Durango.
