I'm not too worried about that happening to mine. After all, it's three months behind on any updates, so it may still work. If I can keep it from updating, that is.

Uh, oh. Possibility of hails storms at the storage yard today. That could potentially create a slight delay in getting the Durango.

How good is the Stock Transmission?

Hmm. I could easily get to car shows with my SXT. It's when I want to enjoy (proven and dependable) performance on the fun roads that I take the 'Cat.

    JULY 2023 HFCOTM POLL

It's way too hot for me to act fast. I can barely act at all.

    Did they mention what year?

Yes, it could be done (now after the fact), but of the three colors available at the time, white was my choice. Besides, since white is technically all colors, it already is Octane Red, and Diamond Black. Did make an attempt at changing to Vapor Gray when that became available, but it would've...

Correct. Time flies whether I'm having fun or not.

Alright, sort of an update. During today's bi-weekly chat with the dealer he said that while the system shows the Durango to still be in storage it has been assigned to the correct rail yard. And that lately they've had vehicles show up that the system said was still waiting for a train. In...

How good is the Stock Transmission?

People were blowing up their transfer cases in the lighter Trackhawks with less power than that. As I recall, there are cures for it.

Hey, looked up the numbers, and that check should be for at least $1,759. That's a lot of gas for the 6.2s. Or anything else that needs it.

The dealer can see where a vehicle is once built, like in the example you posted earlier.

    FS '23 Durango Hellcat

It's not completely uncommon that a vehicle that ends up parked in the back of a lot, be it at an upfitter or storage yard, gets stuck there for a while as other vehicles pile up in front of it. And at least this one has remained stationary. That poor Challenger spent time in every lot FCA had...

Well, there's been no rush with this car. For example, it wasn't ordered until 11-29-22. Went into C the following day, but then things slowed down a bit.

Yeah, that's what I've been doing. For example, it's been in KZLD since 6-19, in the Bud yard.

Got the build sheet on 4-25, and the window sticker came up on 6-19, so it's definitely built. I check that wonderful tracker (which is worse that calling, believe it or not. Not that I've tried calling since the Redeye fiasco) claims that it was built on 6-17, which is about right for that...

The first estimated shipping date I have written down was 4-20. Obviously that couldn't happen since it wasn't built yet. Then it was 5/25, followed by 5-28, and 6-21, but has been "ETA TBD" since. Maybe it likes the Bud yard so much it wants to remain there?

As far as I know it hasn't caught a train yet. It's probably trying to beat the record that the '19 Redeye set, which took four months and eight days to make it to the dealer after it was built. The Durango went into production on 4-21 so it doesn't have to remain AWOL much longer to set a new...

Love it when things (finally) work out as they should. Bought a new Challenger GT AWD, wanted to trade in the '22 Audi Q5 with 891 miles on it. The dealer didn't offer much so I sold it to Carvana for almost $1,000 more, risking losing the tax credit in the process. At this point it'd be about...

Ah, I thought is was an excerpt from your local weather report.
