    Tow package?

Okay, guess that means one of the Q5s doesn't belong. But is it hers or mine? And, what about her other Audi, her Porsche, or my five Mercedii (or whatever the plural of Mercedes is)? Also, what about the domestic vehicles not mentioned....especially the 2-doors? Huh? And the fact that there's...

    Tow package?

Here you go. By the way, how did you think they would look?

    Tow package?

Yes and no. I sold the Unimog it was mounted on, but still have the actual tunnel washer apparatus. My latest idea is to mount the hydraulic chainsaw on it, instead of the brush. Don't worry, David, I'll dig up a photo and post it later. Don't want you to be the only unedumacated member here.

    Tow package?

We're down to two now. Off the top of my head, there's also a pair of Ram 3500s, TRXs, and Audi Q5s. That's in addition to his and hers Can Am Defender Limiteds, JD Gators, Kubota tractors, and Daihatsu HiJets.

    Tow package?

No, you remember correctly. That photo was taken before heading to Utah to trade it in. We no longer have three Granite Challengers. But now two Audi Q5s. One of these days I should make a list of how many "his and hers" we have.

Bad noise when start up after setting for 3-4days

The only one I've had ticking in was a '14 6.4. and once putting the correct oil in it (not just the right grade), the tick went away. That includes a few 6.2s that sit for weeks at a time, and up to six months and change. And I would rather listen to very loud ticking than cold starting one...

Well, if you decide on a Furd F350 instead, that's okay. I do have a wrecker now, remember?

    Tow package?

But not so common knowledge is that a C&C is narrower than a pickup, both being DRW. Also common knowledge is that having two extra rear tires is far better than having two extra doors in the rear.

    Tow package?

You need to change your avatar so I can stop feeling sorry for you. And do consider that a cab & chassis is narrower than a regular pickup DRW.

    Tow package?

Forgot about that. So you already have a good daily driver, and the DRW can sit outside. Problem solved.

    Tow package?

In my case, the only thing the 3500 is used for is towing. Had a nice little aluminum gooseneck flatbed when all I had was a 2500, but the stuff I tow has kept getting heavier. As you can imagine, the 38-foot (aluminum) toy hauler in the background is pretty much DRW only as it puts well over...

    Tow package?

By now you know what my preference is. And not only do I have a significant tow vehicle advantage...there are fewer doors to drag around on the trailer. Is it overkill to pull a single car with a 3500? Maybe. But I don't mind the extra safety margin one bit.

    Tow package?

Well, have to admit that I sold my real tow vehicle and now all I have is the 3500. It's okay for up to pulling 25,000, and obviously anything below that, and I really don't understand why 2500s even exist. That 10K GVWR and spongy rear suspension really hurts them, and for what...a $1,000...

    Tow package?

Sorry, but I don't care what the J2807 ratings are. A 1500 is still too light and has small brakes. I wouldn't want to tow that setup with a diesel crew cab 2500, at least not one with the idiotic 3.42 gears they used for years. If that setup was great, you may want to try a 3500 with duals...

    Tow package?

Not sure why you'd want your trailer, or its sway, to be damp. Damping is a good thing, though. Anyway, people pull somewhat heavy loads with what I consider inadequate tow vehicles all the time, and get away with it. Personally, 2,000 lbs. is about what I'd pull with a Ram 1500, if I had no...

Thinking of an E.V. truck for towing?...think again

Maybe time for an update on the trip. Turned out to be 1,028 miles total, and with an average of 64.25 mph, about 80% on nice curvy 2-lane roads. Having fueled up in southern Colorado last time, I knew I wouldn't make it to Salt Lake City and back without getting fuel...which I did, once...

    The last Hellcat rumor mill

Well, they have changed the wheel bolt pattern, and a few other things.

    The last Hellcat rumor mill

She recently sold that that one, and sure didn't take a beating on it. Much like the RS6 Avant replacement I found/ordered was at just below MSRP...unlike the local dealer who wanted an extra 20K. Some CA dealers wanted up to 40K ADM.

    The last Hellcat rumor mill

Sometimes you can beat the system. I negotiated a deal (as usual) on a 911 Turbo S for my girlfriend. The large Colorado dealer later told me that it was the first time they've ever discounted an order on one of those.

    2023 Raptor Will Be 700 Horsepower V8

Just got the sales contract emailed to me from the Utah dealer. Not only is there no $5K ADM, but I'm getting 1K off of MSRP. What a difference a dealer can make.
