    Mecum Kissimmee 2023

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for multi-door cars becoming popular. Except for fanatics of commercial vehicles, of course.

Looking to buy a trailer and need feedback.

Yes, the positive in the regular trailer wiring will basically trickle charge it, so my battery would most likely be fully charged (if it wasn't already) since most trips tend to be 300 miles or better. But, in my case the ramp will probably be steeper, and the weight of the vehicle could be up...

Looking to buy a trailer and need feedback.

Are you guys relying on charging through the 7-way connector? As I'm slowly gathering parts and pieces for my trailer winch setup, one thing I'd like to do is set the winch up to accept a wrecker type quick disconnect so the trailer battery can be connected to the tow vehicle's batteries. With...

Storing car on Quickjacks over the winter.

Hmm. I thought the primary reason was to make it easier to open all the doors on a Charger.

Law Will Install Kill Switches In All New Cars

Maybe the system could be set up to detect texting instead? Wouldn't be all bad if some drivers would be forced to actually pay attention to what they're doing.

What did you do to your Hellcat today?

I'd think that if they outlawed any volcanic eruptions, above and below water, it would have a very positive effect on the climate. Maybe much more so than outlawing internal combustion engines. And it would be so easy to do. Okay, maybe China and Russia wouldn't go for it, but still.

Storing car on Quickjacks over the winter.

Well, I rarely drive mine if it's 30 degrees or less. Now, if it gets down to -10 or -20 I might. Then they don't even try to use salt on the roads, and rightfully so. Either way, the tires will start out at about 60 degrees (about as cold as it gets in the garage), and I always take it very...

Storing car on Quickjacks over the winter.

If it concerned me, I'd get some of those Race Ramp style thingies to put under the tires. But it doesn't.

Storing car on Quickjacks over the winter.

Okay, but why lift it in the first place?

You put a frame under yours? If so it should resist bending quite well.

    There's a reason 4-post lifts exist.

Storing car on Quickjacks over the winter.

I've used StaBil for years, and it works. Well, up to two years anyway under less than ideal circumstances. Recently switched over to Star-Tron, which seems to do a better job.

The key to keep it usable longer is well sealed containers, regardless of the material. But gas with ethanol can still stratify over time if not treated.

Storing car on Quickjacks over the winter.

That would be my main concern. The car was built to be supported by the tires, not closer to the center. Temporarily lifting it up to work on it won't make it go bananas (so to speak), but over time I'd think it could deform a bit.
