    2021 Hellcat Purchase

I obviously also have vehicles with many more miles on them, and even the older ones have never been subjected to dealer service. Like GNBRETT, a dealer would be about the last place I took anything of mine. That includes for recalls. Either I fix whatever needs to be done myself (paying for...

My New 2023 F150 Rear Diff Was Half Full!?!?!??!

His world includes Furds. Sorry, I can't relate to it.

My New 2023 F150 Rear Diff Was Half Full!?!?!??!

Here I thought that intellectuals don't speak these days. They're busy walking around holding signs at mostly peaceful gatherings.

demon, are you insinuating that 2nd resembles an intellectual?

    2021 Hellcat Purchase

Yeah, I know of one with 18 miles on it. No service records whatsoever, though.

My New 2023 F150 Rear Diff Was Half Full!?!?!??!

Alright, looks like the Votex P/N for the diff is DP009. At least that's what I have the most empty bags of. And don't forget that there are other sources. You could always Google "Google", and once on Google you'll find several.

My New 2023 F150 Rear Diff Was Half Full!?!?!??!

But of course, this thread is about an F-150 after all. Don't worry, I'll clean a spoon off and go to the garage tomorrow morning, get the part number (for one brand), so I can feed it to you.

My New 2023 F150 Rear Diff Was Half Full!?!?!??!

That would depend on which manufacturer you decide to go with, and for what vehicle. There are several to pick from. For the FCA/Stellantis vehicles I use mostly Votex.

My New 2023 F150 Rear Diff Was Half Full!?!?!??!

Believe it or not, but it takes a lot less time to check and fill up fluids as needed than to deal with the potential consequences. Plus, I hate noisy gear sets. Not that setting up new gears is rocket science, but it's not all that fun either. Still kicking myself for not changing the fluid in...

My New 2023 F150 Rear Diff Was Half Full!?!?!??!

People sometimes give me crap for not driving a new (or new to me) vehicle until I've checked all fluid levels and that all fasteners are tight, or at least present. I pick the vehicle up, then it goes directly from the trailer to the lift. As I'm checking, magnetic level plugs go into...

    OCTOBER 2023 HFCOTM

You could easily put a pool in the back. The garage section is 20 feet long. For a sauna, just go visit DavidKFla and don't use the A/C. Breakfast? Sorry, you're on your own. Unless you become breakfast when stepping out and there's a hungry gator just outside the door. Then you're really on...

    OCTOBER 2023 HFCOTM

I'm afraid I won't get your vote then. First, I don't like working on things that can't be welded. Also, the turning radius when pulling a gooseneck would be severely limited due to the narrow door. Nowhere near as elegant, but I did foolishly build a "camper tray" for mine so I could put a...

    OCTOBER 2023 HFCOTM

Hey, those are no longer bugs. And I'm really surprised I didn't find a second bird in the grille when coming back home. Wasn't going quite fast enough, I guess.
