    OCTOBER 2023 HFCOTM

Only the '18. The other one doesn't have the tasteful stripes, and isn't running on all eight. Besides, I'm saving that one for a potential third entry now that I've noticed the flaw in the rules. So if I enter three each months for the next eight months, I have three times better chance to win...

    OCTOBER 2023 HFCOTM

After rereading the rules, again, I don't see anything that prohibits me from entering several times. So, with the taxi crowds' votes already secured, I now followed BULL's advice, sort of, and present the Challenger. Photographed towards the top of that same hill that's so often in my photos...

    Diff fluid change.

Like jonx96, I use Amsoil in diffs with good results. I try to get the break-in crap out at around 500 miles, then check the magnetic level plug every now and then to make sure things are still good in there.

    OCTOBER 2023 HFCOTM

Alright, alright, against better knowledge, here's my third doomed entry. It's a '17 Ram 3500, all stock except for a better charge air cooler, tires, LED headlights, and the bed. Since the rules are somewhat sloppily written, it's accompanied by two other potential contestants, a '21 TRX and a...

    2024 392 Jeep tested

Well, they used to be. A real Jeep (flatfender) is 57-1/8 inches wide as delivered. Today's JL is 16.8 inches wider. But that's okay. Mall parking lots tend to be spacious.

    OCTOBER 2023 HFCOTM

As I recall, he submitted the taxi every month for eight or nine months...until people gave up.

    OCTOBER 2023 HFCOTM

Hmm, after reading the rules again, it looks like I can't win. Hunter has rigged this against me. But that's okay. I don't take it personally. Much. "Hellcat Forum Car Of The Month and Hellcat Forum Car Of The Year Rules: Must have a minimum of 35 meaningful posts."

    OCTOBER 2023 HFCOTM

Wouldn't it make more sense to have something truly good looking in the foreground...like a Challenger?

I've tried twice, and failed twice. I can take a hint.

    '21 DDHC - 1,300 miles sold for $77k on Bring a Trailer

It wasn't the dealer's fault that the price increased, and I got it for the agreed upon price at the time I ordered.

    2024 392 Jeep tested

From the opposite end of the Jeep power spectrum, anybody here interested in a 158 hp (turbo diesel) Jeep J8? It's a 2-door (of course) with the rag top.

    2024 392 Jeep tested

Thinking more about this... There's been a complete change over time. Now you might be living in a one horse town, while we have plenty of them around.

    2024 392 Jeep tested

Which isn't all bad. Fun roads, no stoplights, no taxis, no alligators, and so on.

    2024 392 Jeep tested

Weight isn't that much of an issue unless there's a lot of getting the mass moving going on, like driving in a city. Since neither a Challenger or a Jeep belong it that kind of environment, weight shouldn't matter.

    2024 392 Jeep tested

Tires and aero are two other reasons. Much like getting 24 mpg with a Redeye and 15-16 with a TRX.

What did you do to your Hellcat today?

See what happens when you talk bad about Jeep XJs.

    '21 DDHC - 1,300 miles sold for $77k on Bring a Trailer

Hell, they raised the price on mine a couple of times between when I ordered it and picked it up. The miles on it I can't do much about (legally) so it'll be at least 18 on the odometer.

    '21 DDHC - 1,300 miles sold for $77k on Bring a Trailer

If I don't get close to that for my low mile '23. I'm keeping it.

Jeep Gladiator Discounts Reaches $17K To Try And Sell Inventory

I had to give up a really nice 2-door GM pickup when moving here. As good as it was, including to chase down BMWs on twisty roads with, the wide tires and 2WD just wouldn't cut it here. Needless to say, I tried hard to find a 2-door in white, but failed. It was actually plenty hard enough to...

Jeep Gladiator Discounts Reaches $17K To Try And Sell Inventory

A properly set up front axle doesn't need a stabilizer. I'd fix whatever is causing the wobble (which can be several things, but I'd start with tire balance), then put a fresh stabilizer on there to help keep wear of components down.
