How to get in trunk. Battery disconnected.

I don't see why the battery would have to be connected. The goal should be to put power to the electrical system (which can be done through the posts under the hood), not to the dead battery. If anything, a discharged battery sometimes can't be "jump started" but can somehow absorb all the...

    Balancing MT Front Runners

Is that 1/2 or 1/4 oz. weights? Also, that they have a good balancer doesn't mean they know how to operate it.

    Stellantis cancels auto shows

I'm pretty sure you could enable heated seats with AlfaOBD, but not so sure that the actual heating function would be there in all seats.

The 1st Dodge Challenger - Wow!

No, look again. It's not the 4-door version.

    MGB: The Legend

Speaking of unprovoked, I did forget one maintenance detail. After every weekend having road raced it on a twisty track, the spokes on the rear wheels had to be retightened. That car had quite a few miles on it, so I guess the rear wheels were getting tired.

    MGB: The Legend

Maintenance nightmare?!? Adjusting the valves and points every now and then was all the ones I had ever asked for. In addition to regular fluid changes, of course. And there was no 6-month rule for the oil, so if anything they had less maintenance requirements. Triumph? Never had one, never...

    MGB: The Legend

What a contrast between the B's beautiful metal dash and the new ones' sea of plastic and a touch screen. Much like that even Ray Charles could tell an MGB from other cars while, to me at least, the newfangled one just looks like most new cars do. But I'm partial. My first car was a metal dash...

18 Wheeler On "Tail Of The Dragon"!! 😳😳

One huge reason to leave early was that it allowed me to get out of the general L.A area before the freeways completely clogged up. Being dark it also made Latigo easier to drive since I could see any upcoming headlights, but on the other hand, didn't want to use the Jake brake and wake any...

18 Wheeler On "Tail Of The Dragon"!! 😳😳

I really have to consider myself lucky. In CA there were lots of nice twisty roads in the Santa Monica Mts., and here there are several somewhat nearby. For example, if heading for Denver, Hwy 17 has a really good stretch. Can almost check the trailer's taillights in a couple of the curves. And...

18 Wheeler On "Tail Of The Dragon"!! 😳😳

That does puzzle me. You're required to speak and read English to get a CDL, yet...

18 Wheeler On "Tail Of The Dragon"!! 😳😳

So I should've lost my CDL because I definitely could have hurt or killed somebody driving on the road leading to my house? But does it only apply to CDL drivers? I would imagine that people texting while driving puts many more lives at risk. And they may not even really know how to drive in...

18 Wheeler On "Tail Of The Dragon"!! 😳😳

Which still doesn't mean that he can't drive well.

18 Wheeler On "Tail Of The Dragon"!! 😳😳

Maybe so, but he still drove that road very well, I think. To me, a 'tard is more like the guy that tried to pass me in the middle of an S-curve one day. In the right turn my trailer tires were a bit over the fog line and the left steer tire about three feet from the guard rail. Then, in the...

18 Wheeler On "Tail Of The Dragon"!! 😳😳

If you check out Latigo Canyon Road you'll find that it's comparable to the Tail of the Dragon. Just add RVs and the occasional tractor trailer. A weekend without a motorcycle crash was almost a rarity. I would generally leave very early in the morning to avoid meeting any vehicles.

18 Wheeler On "Tail Of The Dragon"!! 😳😳

Okay, not familiar with the restrictions on that road. Ironically, where I lived there was a perfectly good and reasonably straight road that did get restricted to anything over 8,000 lbs., because of the grade, which made some tractor trailers use the 10 miles of the very curvy road I lived...

18 Wheeler On "Tail Of The Dragon"!! 😳😳

I dunno. Looks like he did as much as humanly possible to stay in his lane with that length trailer. And stopped when there was approaching traffic that "wouldn't fit". Having lived on a very similar road, and sometimes pulling doubles, I can relate. Except two turns were so tight that both...

    Stellantis cancels auto shows

Well there's your problem. You should never buy a vehicle that's limited. For example, my 3500 Tradesman is quite versatile, but I still only use it for towing. And the Omaha thing was a misteak. I really wanted python.

Seems like you have failed miserably so far, getting little 1500 pickups instead.

    Stellantis cancels auto shows

It is kinda comforting to have a couple of diesels with no electronics whatsoever.

    Stellantis cancels auto shows

Maybe that's a pity thing for known multi-door buyers. Or, they want the the vehicle to be at the dealer asap, before the orderer succumbs to an alligator?
