UPDATE - Found a Cat trailer that looks pretty good, is there anything I’m missing?

I balance all my trailer tires. Unbalanced tires are not good for anything involved, and just because people can't feel it in the steering wheel doesn't make it a non-issue.

    Bubble may have burst

Umm, that might be true...only because there aren't any large mountain towns in Florida.

UPDATE - Found a Cat trailer that looks pretty good, is there anything I’m missing?

There's reason I got air suspension on the 25K gooseneck. It rides smoothly empty and with 16K on it. Plus dumping the air makes approach and break-over angles better when loading it. My little 18' also rides well on its 5,200 axles but it probably weighs twice what an aluminum bumper pull...

UPDATE - Found a Cat trailer that looks pretty good, is there anything I’m missing?

It does. Which is why ratchets, stake pocket D-rings, lasso straps, axle straps, ratchet straps, wheel nets, etc. are in their own cardboard boxes in the toolbox. I always bring more than I need (for a couple of reasons) and especially when picking up a vehicle I've never tied down before. My...

UPDATE - Found a Cat trailer that looks pretty good, is there anything I’m missing?

If I feel lazy I take the longer gooseneck, with the hydraulic tail. Quicker and easier than even aluminum ramps. And all the tie-down stuff goes in the trailer's tool box either way.

UPDATE - Found a Cat trailer that looks pretty good, is there anything I’m missing?

I try to put as little as possible on or in trailers, and have the tow vehicle be as heavy as possible. Those original tires on the little gooseneck were replaced recently, due to age. Think they were rated at 60-something, but were subjected to 80 more often than not. The new ones are rated...

UPDATE - Found a Cat trailer that looks pretty good, is there anything I’m missing?

Yeah, that's partially what made my think about a longer one. But if you look at the Challenger on the trailer you'll see that it could've been moved forward by over a foot. Of course, my unfair advantage is that by driving fast, the odds of getting rear ended are minimized. Anyway, at 16.5...

What did you do to your Hellcat today?

So what I hear about the dark web is true, huh? Good thing you managed to finish, too.

UPDATE - Found a Cat trailer that looks pretty good, is there anything I’m missing?

I've transported all kinds of vehicles on my 18-foot trailer, but recently decided to look into getting a 20-footer. Well, they don't seem to make this kind anymore, so I'll either add a foot or two to this one, or simply leave well enough alone.

UPDATE - Found a Cat trailer that looks pretty good, is there anything I’m missing?

A 10K rated trailer will just beat up your 'Cat, unless it's air ride. 5,200 is ideal I think, but with an aluminum trailer 3,500 will work, just keep an eye on the bearings. I put L-track on mine so I could use wheel nets and/or wheel straps. I'm one of those that refuse to tie to unsprung weight.

What was your first Hellcat mod?

Well, then my derated 6-banger diesel apparently rips more. And even though it weighs about 9,400 lbs., I could feel the little gooseneck and Durango behind it. Maybe 10,000 total. Maybe. Does your wife know that you're very insensitive? Yeah, I guess she does by now.

2023 Durango SRT Hellcar Bug Shield Availability

They seem too be out there, if you prefer one over other less visible approaches. Well, assuming that the leading edge of the hood is the same as any other Durango's, which I'd think it is.

What did you do to your Hellcat today?

I really should do that, too. The roads are still perfectly dry. And halted by missing parts for most projects, it'd make sense to drive a bit.

2023 TRX Havoc Edition For Sale On Bring A Trailer

I'd have to look in the log book, but should be around 14-15 for mine, as long as I keep it under 80...and don't pass too many other cars since that's always at full throttle. As usual, my girlfriend somehow manages to get much better mileage than I do. Have seen over 16 on the Lie-O-Meter on...

By not using your electric winch you may be able to go an extra 250 feet. Except you can't get there without using the winch.

2023 TRX Havoc Edition For Sale On Bring A Trailer

Fixed it for you, '71. A TRX may be a Ram 1500 pickup, but it's an entirely different driving experience than the regular ones.

What did you do to your Hellcat today?

    Christmas, what year?

What was your first Hellcat mod?

Just don't tow with it. Especially not uphill.
