We have bobcats, too, but no black panthers. Actually, there are no blacks at all around here as far as I know. But indians to the northwest.

Nah. They're around, but we had more of them in California. There I saw tracks somewhat frequently, but only saw one once.

Probably not all that long. The hawks and ravens have been congregating around a spot to the northeast, but before I got around to go see what they were waiting to feast on I saw the leg maybe 200 yards to the south.

Speaking of body parts. Yesterday I found a deer leg behind the house. Went to get it today, figuring it could be used for deer leg soup, but it was gone. Seems like the mountain lion a neighbor saw the other day is still hanging around.
