EV's are a dud: "GM Expanding Production of Gas-Powered Vehicles"

No, no, no, and no. Even if there were Ubers here (or one), I'd rather drive one of the tractors or backhoes. And yes, the front yard regrettably contains a Crew Cat these days, but she doesn't have a chauffeur's license. Apparently it's not a requirement when buying a taxi.

EV's are a dud: "GM Expanding Production of Gas-Powered Vehicles"

Are you sure? I bet I couldn't get an Uber here. On the other hand, I have functional vehicles and like to drive, so that's perfectly fine with me. Also, we do have a train, sort of. It's a seasonal narrow gauge that basically follows one of my favorite twisty roads. Guess which alternative I...

    Congratulations July 2025 winner 2ndAmend

Congratulations! I bet that submitting two vehicles helped. If nothing else to change the rules.

EV's are a dud: "GM Expanding Production of Gas-Powered Vehicles"

That was probably the thought behind a small business near here installing one, but emergency or not, since it's not hooked up to the grid its existence is irrelevant.

EV's are a dud: "GM Expanding Production of Gas-Powered Vehicles"

Possibly, but for now USPS is clearly in the lead in the stopping department. Ordered a rare part for the RePete's brakes on eBay. It started in central Texas, went to some small town in Arizona, then an even smaller town in Arizona, and finally to Albuquerque where it has been for two days now...

EV's are a dud: "GM Expanding Production of Gas-Powered Vehicles"

I used to see the occasional EV around here, either on the side of the road or on a rollback, but it seems like word has gotten out and they don't come up here anymore.

EV's are a dud: "GM Expanding Production of Gas-Powered Vehicles"

EVs would work about as well as taking the bus for us. No, there are no bus routes around here, or EV chargers. Most of my driving is when towing something. Could be as little as 8,000 lbs, or up to 25,000. Recently added a 46 gallon auxiliary tank to my Ram 3500's stock 74 gallon capacity...

I hope you have a sunroof on your Durango, Unholy. Anyway, 7K axles, very light, and no longer made.

    JULY 2025 HFCOTM

Really?!? Okay, so there are a few duplicates in the family, but that doesn't make it a fleet. UPS has fleets, as does police departments, but I'm a long ways from that. The heat must be getting to you BULL. But if it helps, it's hot here, too. Plus it didn't even get down into the 30s last...

    JULY 2025 HFCOTM

Hmm. Define fleet, please. Also, would it be acceptable to have several cars in the same photo?

    Electrical Gremlin

And here I thought I'd be reading about the new Gremlin EV. Nice to see that Stellantis knows better these days.

Much better to vote for a 2-door...twice.

Thanks DavidKFla. But isn't it almost cheating to enter a 2-door?

If you only knew how many times I've been told to bug off.

Congratulations June 2025 winner Jimmy N.

Wow, thanks guys (and maybe Linda, too), I haven't seen the voting. This is a positive I could definitely use. The last month or so has been a bit trying for various reasons. Again, thanks!

What did you do to your Hellcat today?

A piece of 2x4 (or bigger) should spread the load enough to keep things from cracking.
