I hear Amazon is even gonna stop commin up there as well...o_Oo_Oo_O:eek:
Possibly, but for now USPS is clearly in the lead in the stopping department. Ordered a rare part for the RePete's brakes on eBay. It started in central Texas, went to some small town in Arizona, then an even smaller town in Arizona, and finally to Albuquerque where it has been for two days now. Was supposed to be here Wednesday.

Yes, I know that how badly you need something is directly proportional to how long it takes a package to arrive, but this one also has another twist. I put down the street address in normal fashion, the seller shipped with USPS...and we don't have mail delivery here.

Anyway, if you actually meant Amazon coming here, they never have and most likely never will. FedEx and UPS does. And to some extent USPS also works, just not well.

I work at a small shop
It is mentioned now and then about getting a charging station in the parking lot
My reply is usually
"We don t have a gas pump here why would we get a charging station"

I m sure we could get 1 & charge for it
Then no one would use it unless it was an emergency

That was probably the thought behind a small business near here installing one, but emergency or not, since it's not hooked up to the grid its existence is irrelevant.

Once Gen-Z is the major buying power in the economy...

: (
My prediction is that unless Gen-Z escapes from their mind debilitating "wokeness", they'll never become a major buying power.

Our worker-to-worker newsletter just announced that PHEV builds will be fewer and farther in between as of now. I'm guessing they will be moving to order only.

A viable product doesn't need government subsidy and tax breaks to sell. That tells me all I need to know.

All this money should be put in to good widely available public transportation imo. Gen whatevers don't even wanna drive a car.

Public transportation is available in many places. Where it is not available, it is not viable as Speedy implies. There are always the uber type options. If someone demands public transportation, they are free to move to where it is available.

When I visited Hong Kong and Beijing years ago I was amazed at how I could get just about everywhere on their train system, and got some extra exercise to boot walking once I was close to my destination. I wish we had something like that where I live, there is almost zero public transportation outside of maybe a bus route I'd have no idea how to access and probably have to drive miles to get to.

Like I said, if someone really wants good public transportation, they have many choices of where to go! ;)

Sure, but I'd rather it be more widely available outside of major metro areas. I'm 20 minutes from down town Nashville for example. NO reason there isn't a train available from where I live.

Are you sure? I bet I couldn't get an Uber here.

On the other hand, I have functional vehicles and like to drive, so that's perfectly fine with me. Also, we do have a train, sort of. It's a seasonal narrow gauge that basically follows one of my favorite twisty roads. Guess which alternative I prefer.

So, you are sayin' you would rather uber than drive the HC? ;) Wasn't there a taxi HC somewhere? :ROFLMAO:

No, no, no, and no. Even if there were Ubers here (or one), I'd rather drive one of the tractors or backhoes.

And yes, the front yard regrettably contains a Crew Cat these days, but she doesn't have a chauffeur's license. Apparently it's not a requirement when buying a taxi.

Can you even imagine that.."don't even wanna drive a car".....let that sink in...probably why so many of them have no problems changing teams..:rolleyes::rolleyes:
