With you having a Charger it'd be easy to find one out of a cop car. Hmm now you have me thinking. I think I know some places to check to see if I could get one to fit my Challenger. I may know some places to check for one. I'll see if I can find you one to. :)
I still have the one from my mustang. I will have to test fit it but I'm sure it will work. It is fully adjustable

It was worth it. Several relatives want Redeye’s now. Several comments like, “my car never pulled like that before”. One of my cousins may have been a bit weak getting out of the girl!
My dad is the only one that would enjoy this.

He used to have a 66 Chevelle SS 396 325hp 4spd he built into a 12.5:1 427 car.

He shat bricks when I told him I made legitimately 900-1000hp and still got 22mpg on the pump gas tune.

He used to get 4 at about 625hp. Lol

Best I was able to muster was 20.6 this last weekend - on the way to the track (about 170 miles) I was taking the Hellcat racing. I ended up with 17.3mpg for the weekend which included about 20 passes down the quarter mile.
I also have a new personal best of 11.54 @124. I still struggle with the launch for my M6, but the line lock and drag radials help quite a bit.
I figured that was respectable for a stock power plant and some drivetrain upgrades (shifter, driveshaft, diff brace and tires).
I raced at the Mopar show held at the Woodburn dragstrip in Oregon - they had a pretty good turnout of Challengers and Chargers, also had some 300's, SRT's, a Hellcat Durango and a TRX. It was a good weekend!

obviously my reaction time still needs some work, but I usually only race it one a year... The time slip was against an auto Hellcat, so I think it makes for a pretty good comparison.

Looks like using math and gallons filled and miles driven (the BC or before computers method). 90 degree air temps, about mid -60’s dew points, no wind, 77 mph cruise control, air conditioning, wife driving back, so no real disturbances for about 200 miles it got about 19.5 mpg. Seems like if it is kept below 70 mph, then the 21-22 mpg can begin to happen for the HO engine anyway. The Hellcat with the lower numerical real end also seemed to be 1-2 mpg better all around.

Do the same thing, let me drive it down instead of her most of the way, and let me give a few “joy rides” before fill up and the gas mileage dropped to about 12 mpg .

Had a little traction scare, on Monday, after an early morning rain. Ordered a new pair of DWS06 Plus, in 315/35/20, for the rear of the beast, today.

Apparently, the Plus replaces the standard DWS06.

Should get them installed, Friday.

Got 18k out of them. Saved $100 per tire. Thank you mileage warranty! If you have these tires, keep in mind that they prorate them, based on mileage.

I have the HR5 (Hellcat five spoke replicas) rims all around with Nitto's all around for summer. But I still have the Mopar H2 five spokes off to the side with the original Pirellis. My plan is to mount the original's with DW06's all around and use them in fall/winter as my all seasons and chuck the Pirellis. I've heard nothing but great things about the DW06's.

That is a lot of work @16GoManGoHC2 good luck!
Start up went well, have about 600 miles on her now on 93, be going back to corn soon, 2 oil changes on Driven Break In oils, on PUP 0W40 now since 300 miles, one more oil change at the 1000 mile mark to Amsoil 5w50 Signature Synthetic and its party time!! Clicking in start up video turned out to be a header leak, fixed it with high temp putty, worked GREAT, no more ticking thank God!! JBA sending me a replacement header no charge, class A++++ company, no hassle replacment, no idea when or if I’ll change it though as long as the putty holds up!! It’s good for 2000F continuous so it should. Leak down test in what was the problem cylinder 7 is at 3% Cold with .026” ring gap, other cylinders all in the same range at 2-3% leak down so all is looking well to start leaning on her now. Looks like the operation was a success!! Yaaayyy!!

I bet you could get something, maybe not much, but something out of the PZeros

Correct, DS has about 1/2”, PS only clears by about 1/8”. But they lined right up to the flanges on the pipes exactly the same as the stock exhaust, I did not have to loosen the down pipes at all for alignment. Car will be on the dyno in near future once back on corn and if no gain from before rebuild I’ll be going back to massaged stock manifolds someday as under hood temps increased dramatically compared to stock double wall manifolds.

Yea, I got something. One really good smoky burnout practicing with the line lock right after break in.:) These Pirelli all season tires are truly dangerous on these cars. Fronts are ok but the rears at 45F and lower and you've gotta drive like you have an egg under your foot. Even without being aggressive on the gas if you've gotta merge onto a highway you're fishtailing off the off ramp. Sometimes when I get knew tires and my old ones are in really good shape (these have like 1600mi) I'll trade the tire place even for cost of mount and balance so they can resell used Pirellis.

You just put that Loctite putty on externally, wiped clean and it held? That's pretty good! BTW that .026 ring gap is pretty generous (got it, high boost and maybe more tricks??? Lol.) so 3% cold seems good/reasonable to me. Glad this thing is moving along for you.

Yep, cleaned well with degreaser and squeezed it in like caulking with my finger and wiped off the excess. I tested it on a piece of smooth billet aluminum rod stock, just cleaned with same degreaser and rag, just plopped it on, no sanding, next day hit it a few times with a small hammer and couldn’t chip it off, but at $80 a can it better be good!!

washed the car today. It actually wasn't bad. I didn't drive through any rain last week but thought I would get the rubber off the rubber guards from last weekend and just make it look good. Forecast is showing no rain for the next week

Removed the DSS Stage 5 axles to send back for rebuild and installed Redeye axles. They run with much less NVH then the DSS ones, we’ll see how these hold up.
