Reason I ask... The RE already has many upgrades, I'm not the expert but I think axles and driveshaft, possibly many others.
My first thought is maybe keeping this as a driver and getting a RE for upgrading, it is already part of the way there.
I would strongly suggest you define for yourself exactly your objective. For example, pure hp so you can show dyno curves, or 1/4mi, or 1mi, or track? These all have very different requirements. The best 1/4 car may melt down at 1mi. Picking a specific target then focusing your energy on that target may save aggravation/changes in the future.
Also realize that when you do aftermarket tunes, the stability control may not be able to keep up and the car may be more difficult to control under hard acceleration. You may underestimate your stock hp car because it is so controllable and easy to drive, mods can throw that out the window. Here is a 717hp modded to much more simply attempting to accelerate in a straight line.
