So I've got the issue where my Uconnect refuses to correctly sync with the GPS time (but unlike some others, my location is correct).

I'm trying to avoid the hard factory reset, but will do it if needed, I have done the soft reset a couple of time (press and hold volume/channel center buttons).

Interestingly, while the soft reset doesn't correct the GPS sync clock time, it does change the GPS time. So this seems to have some affect.

Also of note (and typical of others reporting this issue), the time sync error is NOT a full time zone, for example, one iteration was 1hr 38min.

I forget what others have done to fix this? Does this require the hard reset (13second press and hold upper right hand corner of the "phone" screen?) Or is it something else to fix it?

Taken at 2:26pm...

Update:

Upgrading from 17.11.07 to 18.45.01 fixed the clock... ...now lets just hope there aren't new and exciting things to worry about with 18.45.01... : (

Also, for anyone that might need these files, I have the following MY16 M6 firmwares: (I'm honestly not sure if they are specific to the M6 or not, and some of the files further imply that they are good for MY13 thru MY17

16.09.09
16.33.29
17.11.04
17.43.01
18.45.01 (The Uconnect site lists this as latest available for MY16 M6)

Also 17.11.07 MY15 only???

I'm willing to share, however they are 100% at user's risk and responsibility. All files downloaded directly from Uconnect for my MY16 M6 Challenger (except the 17.11.07, I'm not sure of the source of that...)

I’ll need to check WTF my ‘19 uses for software. I have never thought about it, but I always need to set my clock for the time. I just set it behind the time it is reading from something so many hours and minutes to make it right. I do that every time I disconnect the damn battery.

@BULL you are allowing the ‘16 to update? I never subscribed or ever opened anything related to communicating with Mopar on purpose myself as far as I know. So mine is lame in this respect and never really thought it could do anything better.

It never did any OTA updates, I did this manually with a USB stick

Oh! I’m not trying that. Especially after the goofy electronic stuff I tried screwing up a couple of weeks ago. We will talk soon.

When I entered my VIN (A8 trans) it said I needed the same update. No clue what the ver is I have installed, but I've not noticed any issues with the clock syncing.

I also got an email a while back saying they had published the final Nav map update for these cars. Since I have the (now seriously outdated) OE maps, I was thinking about getting this last update but It looked like a complex install & I chickened out.

I'm sure this is a seriously foolish question, but did they update/fix the swapped values on the IC Coolant & IC Intake Air temp gauges ??

Mine weren't wrong before, but I didn't check them to see if they were wrong after the update.

I have never updated mine. Maps are out of date but everything works as it should so not messing with it. Teresas 18 we had to replace the radio twice. The 1st the GPS was about 30 miles off

He's right you know, and unfortunately the newer the car the more technology that will be dated far too soon.

Never ordered the map/gps extra on my ‘19 RE. Saved some $$ on that option. I was well into using CarPlay and Google Maps by then. I have not looked at the Mopar maps in any of my other two vehicles that have it in years. Why? Because they darn near need updating at delivery!

Love the DDSRT that has the new “loaded” system they made me purchase with the fancy packages. That allows and remembers your phone wirelessly. I get in, it automatically begins playing my “free” Sirius programming because I use the app from our one subscription the wife buys and the google maps are right there in CarPlay that automatically is ready to go.

The ‘19 is “old” now. For best results I get in, fire up the performances pages first because I have a set of gauges on the Home Screen, and then PLUG IN the phone. If I plug in b4 P. Pages sometimes they will not load. It works fine, I just need to manually set the clock each time I disconnect the battery. Which I need to do twice each time I write a tune because I have to save the DS suspension controller that would brick if I would try to update a tune with it connected. The penalty is about $1,500 for a new one from DSC that could stay in place. Ask me how I know that can happen.

I'm actually surprised they even offer in car GPS anymore. Android Auto and Apple Car Play seem like no brainers there.

My 170 will auto connect for bluetooth music from Spotify etc, but I don't think it does wireless Android Auto, at least if it does I don't know how to activate it.

The 24 Z06 automatically wirelessly connects to my phone, fires up Android Auto, and shows Waze and Spotify split screen on the secondary display. This can be disabled, but I like it so far.

It's still there for cellphone haters like myself. Only time my cellphone is out of the Faraday bag & on is if need to call 911.
Besides, as I'm sure you will recall, there is no Carplay etc. on the '16's.

Most new rental car fleets have no GPS
