Always wanted a 911 Porsche since I was a wee little man!

There wasn't a Hellcat badge option? I see other makes have this. Some even have the side decal graphic option:cool:
That's mainly for pick ups

The vehicle kind, or attempts at bagging a female?

I'd be looking at something like this. Seems it's pretty easy to find. As has been pointed out in another thread Porche doesn't make huge changes to these cars so a 2014, 2015, 2019, etc are all pretty similar as far as I can tell.

I've never driven one so I have no clue.
Steering exiting twisties @ speed with rear engine configuration in the relatively short wheelbase of the mid 80's 911's...was...well different

It was my childhood dream car and I cried when I sold it to help buy a house.

Later on I looked at Turbos but water cooling put me off and I decided they didn't have the same character and so I bought a Nissan GTR instead which was a lot cheaper, I loved that and had 3 of them, never bothered with Porsche again.

It's looking like these 911s take a HUGE depreciation hit the first 1-3 years then stabilize after that so buying a gently used one saves a boat load of money (like $100K+) and you're likely to get most of your purchase price back if you sell it later.

I doubt the same will be said for $100K Hellcats unfortunately. Once 2023 is over they'll fade away I'm afraid. I'm hanging on to mine it's one of my favorite cars but it's not a $100K vehicle. $60K - $70K tops.

No one knows which way the car market will go. Buy what you want and enjoy the shit out of it. Speculation only hurts your enjoyment.

This was her first 911, bought used obviously, which is very unusual for her. IMG_0432.jpg

The one I found for the wife is a 2005 Turbo S Cabriolet. It is a off production line (hand built) special that was the most expensive version they had at that time. $175k OTD in Riverside Calif in 2006. We bought it for $70k with warranty at 19k miles in 2015. It is now worth somewhere in the $120k ballpark. Best deal on any car ever for me.

I've said it a hundred times, cars are terrible investments.

My buddy bought a Porche Turbo last year and has been schooling me on some of the model differences. The S may not be the right one as the big difference are the carbon ceramic brakes which I'd likely not need nor would I wanna pay to replace them. 911 Turbo may be the ticket but oddly there are a lot more Turbo S models for sale. I'm just window shopping now anyway and will see if it holds my interest. Last week I was considering a 5 speed manual swap in my old 4Runner so maybe I'm just bored :ROFLMAO:

You've got me looking at them on cars.com especially after seeing Cleetus zoom by in his.
I'll be looking at something else in a couple of days...
Bidding on a fox body Tbird to build into a drag and drive car. It's already more than I want to spend. 🤣🤣🤣
