A word to all the dragster wannabes thinking about lighting up your car. TBM has light weight brakes for Hellcats. I know you look at them and question if they’re going to stop. 6.3 @ 225 mph with a chute failure. That’s not red paint on those rotors 😳. Somehow these got it stopped and did not damage them (according to him). He continued to go rounds and won. Not too sure your Wilwoods would come back from that.

Also, to be fair, these are a completely different animal than what we're chasing. Primarily that these aren't street legal and are purpose built for drag racing only. I have no doubt that they are a good product for what they are intended for.

Yeah. No comparison. Drag brakes…. Hardly get used until the chute don’t come out and then they get overheated, and repeat again in hopefully never. 😂

If you only need to do 1 stop, you can make the rotor and caliper much lighter than what you need and put a 3/36 warranty on.

Seen them fail after two passes on a hellcat recently. Pad completely destroyed and went metal to metal. Hopefully they get their stuff together for the heavier cars.

A friend with a fox body does drag week. He pulls a tiny trailer and they did not work he went back to wilwood. Said he doesn’t see how they would work on our cars

I got a guy with a mustang that says you have a slow as street car. His name is Boost 12. He will let off at the 1/8 on a no prep small tire still go 7.0. Not 7.5-7.2 but 7.0.
