Outside of M and Amg, bmw and mercedes are highly overrated, the s class is the only other one worth mentioning, 7 series is ehhh

C class = garbage, e class = garbage, s class = luxury

All the new 50 other models are garbage, well the 8 series isn't bad either.

Drive an m5 though, you will literally feel your stomach behind you with launch control, handles very very very well in the corners too.

The engine noise can also be coded to turn off if one cares enough, same with the ford trucks.

An exciting 11 second 1/4 mile, with a roaring V8, and trying to control wheelspin, sounds a lot more exciting to me....than a 9 second time listening to an electric motor hum. No wheel spin, no shaking, no engine sound, nothing....boring!

Why not both.

Electric motors for the front and the same ice unit for the back, put large enough motors and cylinder deactivation along with the hybrid Electric engine taking over at a stop and you have a recipe for success, the car will get 20+ mpg city and 25 highway. Problem solved for epa

Now the price of that? That I couldn't tell you and it might be a problem, not many of who dodge caters to could afford or want to spend 100k+.

I can promise you at 100k+ I'm out, I'll go get myself an m5 at 120k before I ever spend 110k on a dodge.

Unless they update the dodge interior wise and technology.

The idiots who are pushing electric vehicles are putting the cart in front of the horse. There simply is not enough infrastructure to support electric vehicles for the masses. Unf#&%*@g believable!

This will be a 100k car my guess.
They have been slowly working there way to that point.
Demon started at 85k but most were loaded up over 95k
Redeyes and S/S get every box checked by dealers with stickers close to 100k
Then the markups in certain areas of the country.

Dodge knows all this.
They know than build something wild and price it at 100k and it will sell.
Their marketing department is 2nd to no one in the automobile industry.

Build a car that will out run the Demon for 100k, they will sell.
I do think that starts to be the limit with Dodge. Because you can get into a luxury brand for quite a lot less $$.

I been on the hybrid motors to power the front wheels for a while but yeah, it eliminates the awd problem and appeases the epa requirements. 2 birds 1 stone, though price will definitely be an issue.

Interesting read, I enjoyed it, lets see what plays out, like on sooo many other venues, I smell bullshit. For example, Cydertruck going 500 miles between charges, complete BS. If they go hybrid, they will need a huge battery. Where they going to put it? Will the diff handle the instant tq off the line? If I'm correct; what will the weight be? Wonder if they'll go duall clutch?

Why all the "hybrid" talk? If you watch the video Tim doesn't mince words. An -All Electric- car is coming in 2024. I get ppl are annoyed/in denial but the combustion part isn't in the Stellantis plan. There is a reason it's 2024 too. New Platform for sure...

Honestly, the faster car. Whichever it is. And if we're talking the Demon specifically, I wasn't particularly excited at all. It was a one off "rich man's car" kind of thing to me. Not disrespecting the guys on here that have them and use them, but many are "investment cars" and the like or a toy that sits with 45 other toys when it gets old. And you can get near its performance with a Red Eye, or a tweaked HC, for less money. But that's just me.

With all due respect, not me. I am not interested in a wicked fast GOLF CART. Call me crazy but I still want my cars to vibrate, smell of burnt hydrocarbons and produce visceral exhaust notes. No offense taken. I just feel happy and blessed that I was able to buy the all-time highwater mark for ICE in a Demon. Over time, as each new HP EV rolls out I'll feel luckier and luckier...

Curious what you would go for if given a choice. A P30 equipped supercharged V8 SL 55 or a V-12 BiTurbo SL 65?
