I hope it’s successful, but…. I just don’t see it. First off…. Does that picture look like it’s anywhere near the urban sprawl of So Cal? Irwindale is closer (damn near downtown LA) and it’s a real 1/8 mile drag strip with some cars running 4’s out there. In a stroke of genius, they even added a bull ring with stands for the street takeover idiots to do donuts for prizes 🤡. They pull in crowds to race and spectate. They even have a betting area near the starting line where people who like to do that can wave fists full of money at each other. Lol. That’s a show in itself. Anyway.. I hope it does what it is intended to do. Anything that takes a yahoo off the street is good. Maybe if they put a donut hole at the end, so after running a 10 second 330, they can start doing donuts that would be a draw. 👍🏼

The way I would interpret this...

Standing Mile... All about power and aero but no traction
1/4m drag... Balance of power and traction
1/16m drag... All traction and 1st/2nd gear, no speed, 1.5seconds and you're done.
