Rumored 1000+hp Charger

Something suppose to be unveiled at Roadkill Nights this year August 8th

Dodge sent me an invite to display my Charger (that is their theme this year) so looks like I will be there!

Heard it's a 1000hp hurricane engine

It would be cool to see but it’s not going to move the needle at all. The problem with the Hurricane isn’t the power so more power isn’t going to magically fix it.

The other issue is that the car is too expensive and 1000hp is only going to make it more expensive.

With that said I think there’s finally some excitement coming for the brand some of which will appear at Road Kill Nights.

The last Dodge commercial I recently saw has Chargers doing Charger things...with booming sound added in, definitely not coming from the vehicle they are showing! I think they should just embrace what it sounds like, I mean it's like they are trying to hide the fact that it doesn't sound like a V8!

Also was talking with a manager who is a friend at the dealer, apparently one of their former master techs was called into the mothership at corporate to help work on and develop the I-6 Hurricane motor...and in his most recent conversation with him, he said to avoid that engine at all costs, that they have not worked out all of the problems with it and he doesn't know if they ever will. There are just some inherent problems apparently. fwiw...

Most of their information is kept well under wraps

Nope, me neither. Rumors are plenty it is a 6 or a hemi. Doubling the hp of the 6 seems like a lot

They have that turbo turned up real, real high. Along with some batteries and an electric spinner or two, to make that much power? 1100 hp and 6500 lbs will be laughable.

Sounds like dealers b.s. if they are having techs come help figure out an already developed engine they are in big trouble.

No that is not what I meant, or understood the situation to be anyway - this guy was their finest tech and just got promoted to the top. Then while there he was assigned to this project, not like OMG we're having problems and need to find someone who can fix it!...
