Not to thread jack but an update on the 55gal drum.
I bought a pump that hooks to my air compressor. It was less than 70 bucks. So far I’m happy with the drum.
only unknown at this point is I hope it keeps good because at this point I won’t use all of it this year.

When working in Tenn we used to get the blue 55 gal drums and the blue was designated to food industry. Metal top and fastening on all. After the ignitional use, cooking oil, was an easy clean up. Great for trans.

I just do this, good old siphon works just fine to transfer into 5 gallon pails, mix 50/50 with E83 for a E90+ cocktail :) A5A94E5F-9828-44C1-BCFF-8E0EC5330570.jpeg 5443BB54-ABBB-477B-BD32-3468339B03F5.jpeg DB89C8CE-66BC-4A8E-B0A3-1E012107E09A.jpeg

I use it pretty quick once opened as I use it mostly towards the fall winter when the stations start going to lower E winter blends here in the north. But I hear as well from others that stored tightly sealed in a dark temperature stable area a year is no problem, metal cans the best, supposedly light makes it go bad as well.

Pull the pump and recap the barrel when not in use. Once upon time I would use a 55-gallon drum 5 wheel dolly stable makes it easy to move around

The power of corn!! I made a E83 E98 concoction in prep for dyno day Monday, 10 gallons of E98 into what the gauge said was a hair less then 1/2 tanks, was full with the 10 gallon addition. Took her out, looked over the running log after a hit or 2 in second and third, looked good, felt nice and spicy so I rolled onto it in second and nailed third, it spun, grabbed, and BANG marbles marbles marbles:( Thought I took out an RE axles or the diff as both have been making noise. Coasted to a stop, Looked under the car all looked ok, got back in, first gear marbles, second third fourth fifth sixth reverse all the same, marbles, :( so much for the Tranzilla but it did have a shit ton of street 1/4 pulls on it, the wheel hopping at the track I guess not only put a hurting on the RE axles and Diff but the trans input cluster as well. Called a friend with a roll back, he was an hour out, tried the gears again this time fourth moved the car, I was only a mile from home and got her home and into the garage with 4th. Thank God 🙏
So today set up with RSG to have the tranny rebuilt with all 9310 gears in a 2.66 close ratio variety, 1400 ft lb rated in the Vipers. So now along with the GForce Outlaw axles that arrived yesterday and new 3.73 Diff the drivetrain will be 100% new and better for next time. SUCKS though as I had a Dyno appointment Monday AM to see what she was making, and do some dyno tuning, figures the E85 tune was finally getting almost completely debugged and now another set back :( These cars are parts HOGS (And wallet drainers) Here’s the new goodies, late next week on the trans.
