Hello everyone,

Back in January, my 2021 all-black TRX, which had about 22,500 miles, caught fire. The cause remains unknown-when a Mopar inspector examined the vehicle, he said it was impossible to determine what happened because it was completely destroyed. The following week, Stellantis sent a letter confirming they couldn’t identify the cause and stated they wouldn’t offer any compensation since no one was injured. However, the situation could have been much worse: about 10–12 minutes after we left the vehicle that night, it exploded. For context, we don’t smoke or drink and drive.

I haven’t spoken much about this until now, but after talking with a friend today, I learned that his neighbor in Florida also owned a TRX and tragically died when his truck caught fire in front of his house. Does anyone have more information about that incident? I’m now very hesitant about buying another RAM truck with a supercharger. I was considering a Challenger, but I’m concerned about the safety of the Hellcat as well. I haven’t made a decision yet.

Here are a few pics:

If anyone has similar experiences or advice, I’d appreciate hearing your stories. Has anyone else had issues like this recently?

Stay Safe out there. 1745848936871.png 1745848962177.png

I safety wire my main fuel line to the rail and the cross over to the rail as well. I’ve heard of a few blowing off so I took an extra step to make sure mine can’t.

Yep, the rumor was he burned his Hellcat for YouTube views. I always thought FamilyCruizin was creepy as hell. Almost a Jared from Subway kind of creepy vibe. I think he finally got arrested, but don't recall the specifics anymore.

This is exactly the post I want to see when I’m about to run additional fuel lines in the engine compartment

How many members here actually know what is meant by "safety wiring"?
I know veterans will (at least those in maintenance).
Just a thought...

Affirmative on the Safety wiring, but I've got a few years on me. Common in aviation
