Hey everyone, I’m new to the forum and did try and search. I bought a 2024 srt 392 with 7k miles. Yeah I could have waited for the rt but… well I didn’t . Anyways I did a mid muffler delete because it was really quite and notice a whirling or wet whistle sound when I accelerate in any drive mode. It’s load bearing and won’t whistle in idle. Just hoping it’s not a major problem. Anyone know what this could be? Thanks!

Or… weed wacker that stays in tune with my acceleration. ChatGPT thinks it’s my active exhaust valve but it whistles in track mode…. I hope it’s just a weld bead inside the new weld. Think I’ll go back and get an x pipe

Can’t hear it with the windows up. It’s not that bad really but you know how it is when you get a new ride. Every noise makes you worry. With the windows down I can’t tell but seems like it’s come from the mid to back area. Just imagine a blowing a whistle and putting your finger on the hole really fast as you accelerate or slow down. As far as how loud it is not bad I thought it sounded kinda cool at first then worried something was wrong. Just hoping it was a common thing for mid muffler deletes. I had a 2024 rt and did a mid muffler and rear resonator delete and didn’t have this issue. I ruled out mds, active exhaust valve but could be wrong. It’s still under warranty but with the mid muffler delete they probably tell my it’s my fault

Srt 392, I’m convinced now that’s it’s either slag in the pipes from the weld, exhaust manifold bolt, or active exhaust valve fluttering. I’ll take it to the dealer.
