1970...on the showroom floor triple black 440 challenger..RT/SE..black vinyl roof..black interior..buckets..and pistol grip 4 speed..I would have robbed a bank to get that car...had to settle for a 1500 mile used 69 RR for my first car...(still cooler than most 17 yr olds had as a first ride)

Kept the RR my junior yea in HS..senior year bought my brand new 1971 Demon 340...I went to a private all boy catholic HS...I had the baddest car in the school...I was a sports jock...a good lookin kid..had a cool car...and no trouble with the girls...70/71 was a great time to be an 18 yr old....I miss that car...

I feel really great ...no health or physical issues...other than hearing loss..and recently my vision has diminished to where I need cheaters to read just about anything..but no joint or muscular issues...and can actually run on par with those half my age...

I got a good friend that moved to Fla. ten years ago..he's 75 still very active...swims.. bikes..and diet conscious....he said try as you might..over 70 the aging process kicks yer ass..you cant avoid it...figure I got maybe 5 good years @ best...not lookin forward to it...
Really? I'm not being a wiseass either. I haven't owned a Challenger so I cannot compare. I always got a great deal of attention in the Charger (even when I wasn't sideways in traffic on major thoroughfares). Folks seemed to gravitate to it. But then I would assume Stellantis / FCA / Chrysler / American Freaking Motors / Whatever's marketing department had something to do with the 80 / 20 split in production.
