I think the answer to this is to itemize the list, cut the fluff, add in a reasonable amount for the labor and decide on if it's overpriced or not. I would do it, but I don't know all of the pricing off the top of my head.


But my gut tells me there's a lot of margin in there.

Yeah, was thinking it's pretty high. Maybe 10k in parts, 5k in labor and the tuning would be another 5k.
Not an expert, something to be said for the shop and the fact it's done right the first time.

Just seemed alot...thinking I could just get a hellephant for that price.

I can have my 14 Jeep JK converted from a 3.6l v6 5dpd to a brand new 392 with A8 for that!
Too much as far as I can tell.

I don't know what @Jon-MooredPerformanceLLC pricing is like first hand, but I suspect you could get a much better price with him.

What’s surprising is there’s no driveshaft upgrade there, I wouldn’t take that to the track. Kong full race port and race bearing rebuild is $1900. PCM unlock $150-200, throttle body $800, fuel pumps $1500, injectors $1800, lower pulley $500, upper $2-300, thermostat $20, plugs $150, DIRS is $450-500, ethanol sensor/ pod $200, catch cans $250 (go with UPR), JLT intake $250 (people sell them all the time) Do the math…

I will have one more build coming this weekend. The same as the one I just posted but a 3.8 whipple last one had a 3.0.
They will be on Dyno in a couple weeks back to back.
Jon and myself do this more as a hobby. We have good day jobs.
Dave helps with the transmissions. Just a bunch of friends working together
