I fortunately have a 7 year Mopar extended warranty which was told covered everything...guess i will find out. Now, have to find a good dealer as my local dealer has given me some concern dealing with parts.

Here is my screen.

I would think that it would be covered.

@Hellcatcfp Good luck man. It should be a quick job provided the part is available.
See if you can get the true part number that is used for replacement. My guess they’ll just replace the entire head unit. Hopefully they give you the newer version so you don’t have to rinse and repeat later on. Report back when it comes back.

It was a problem with all the MY 18's, something to do with cars in hot/humid places. My Durango had the same issue. Dodge is quietly covering it even if out of warranty if you are the original owner.

Replacement will be a refirb unit, if they give you any crap just call Dodge and complain !!

The unit on my 18 went totally out about 1.5 years ago. They just slid the old one out and new one in. Took about 15 minutes.

Good. Didn't want someone taking dash apart and having noises after repair.

Mine was easy too, when I called about it they knew immediately what the issue was & said to just drop by so they could confirm & ennter an order for the replacement. Never left the svc drive, she came out, plugged in her ipad, had me sign & said it would take 4 - 6 weeks to get the new one.

Replacement was less then 30 min total & they kept all my settings in tact. They just pop off that trim ring, then a few screws & 2 connectors & done !

No issues with the replacement, no rattles etc.

This is a screen failure.

Radio is 3 modules:

Screen
Radio module
Volume/tuning interface

Easy enough to pop off the bezel and just replace the screen.

Where do you recommend getting the replacement screen (eBay is my guess)? My screen is about 65% delaminated, but it still works fine…just looks horrible.

you can try infotainment.com (Thanks to @Diboblo for pointing me there). They have a blog entry regarding Dodge's screen delamination. They should be able to fix your or send a new one, if needed.

Here's the replacement screen I bought. Remember, this is just the touchscreen, not the whole unit. And it's the (3) revision part, which is not supposed to bubble. I'm surprised he has them in stock as they were hard to get for a while.

Why would you bother since Dodge will replace it @ no charge unless you are not the original owner ??

I purchased the car with 5k miles about 4 years ago, so I figured I’m on my own since I’m out of the warranty period. Do they cover the screen replacement when the car is a 2017 and now has 50k miles?

You would need to ask Dodge Cares about that. According to the SR at the dealership I go to they were replacing them regardless of warranty status/miles for original owners. She said they did deny 1 customer who was the 3rd owner of the vehicle. My car was just past the 3/36 and they put it thru without question.
