Welcome to the forum!! Great to hear from you !!
I am glad to see the Hellcat is making a presence in NZ - we love our cars here in the states, so it's good to see you share our passion as well!
Nice video and very consistent with your excellent times. Thanks for the encouragement, however I dont want to risk the financial hit if something went wrong at the dragstrip with no insurance. The cars are expensive to buy here with freight from the USA, people clipping the ticket on the way and all the taxes. Nice to enjoy the horsepower though. All the best
The boot has been right into it many times, just not at the dragstrip with me. Previous owner did a 10.06
Pretty sure the rules are the same or very similar

Big car scene in New Zealand. Many hotrod and car clubs although regulations are making it more difficult to build and modify cars than what is used to be. Not always for the right reasons. A lot of people love their cars here also, live and breath them and have oil in their veins.
Your new friends in here are going to try to fix that! Lots of us here are as old if not older and routinely go to the drag strips and some of us will even tie down for 15-25 min at a time and road course these things right along 20 something’s. Just think and believe you are 20 years younger than that calendar indicates.
Took mine to pick up some food ALONE at 45 degrees last night and even thought to TRY to have some fun. Well attempting to get full potential at about 70mph, it made the rear bounce once (must have “broke in” that new right axle😂), which was this 70 yr-old’s feedback to stop that shit! Damn I pressed it slow enough to get one downshift, but that next downshift near WOT just was too much. Too much power and not enough heat on that road! My wife of over 50 yrs believes I am still a kid.
