As the title states for some reason now my SRT button on the center dash is sticking in. I can pull the tab underneath to get it back out but it won’t come out on its own after being pressed in. I tried pressing it in and pulling it back a bunch of times still sticks. Any suggestions? Should I spray some contact cleaner in there? Has anyone heard this happening before I didn’t ever have this occur in the other 3 mopars I’ve owned.

Well that sucks Matt. Obviously at a minimum that part of the “stack” may need replaced. Someone will chime in to recommend an electronic tolerant spray. You may also try one of those air keyboard blowers or simply take a high pressure air blower off a air compressor if you have one, some little POS may have got unexpectedly lodged in there?

CRC makes a lectra motive spray that I use on electrical contacts. Not sure if it's right for your situation.

Maybe try some compressed air to blow out something that may have gotten in there?

Can you say if the issue is internal mechanical binding or due to a piece of debris (food?) that got in the edge gap somehow?

If you think it's something that got in there and hitting it with compressed air doesn't work, I would remove it, and try something like either the contact cleaner above or maybe even just IPA.

Let it dry thoroughly prior to reinstall.

I doubt it’s food or debris it’s the new jailbreak I don’t even have 500 miles on it and I haven’t eaten in the car hah. I’m wondering how I would remove the button?

Either a 2023 or a 2019, so 50% chance.

I'd see if the dealer might fix it free regardless.

Agree, if I can fix it myself easy and cheap, I'd do it, if not, let the dealer do it.

DON'T SPRAY ANYTHING IN ANY BUTTON!!!

The return on these buttons is a rubber membrane. They are not old school mechanical buttons.

If you're talking about the START button, it easily comes apart, for cleaning.

If you are referring to the SRT button, on the climate control, that also comes apart pretty easy. If it is sticking, the rubber membrane may have cracked and won't allow the button to return. Can't tell, without opening it up.

Hope this helps.

The dealer will not fix it. They do not do component level repairs. They will just replace the module.

It’s under warranty. If you try to fix it and screw something up then take it to the dealer they just might not deal with it. Why do it yourself?
