Well we packed up early.
seems like we have isolated the issue.
Sucks to come out this far to not get any good runs.
After fixing a loose ground connection yesterday.
We continued to have limp issues running the 4.0 pulley. Car still felt odd as well. My butt dyno has been telling me since yesterday that something was not right with the car.
We thought it was throttle body, and Marc let me grab his whipple throttle body from Stinkeye to try, and there was some better response from the car, but even with a new throttle body it still was going into limp and throttle was closing!!!
i had been datalogging every single pass and sent it off to my tuner.
2 things. The throttle body is still closing. And it appears that the motor in throttle body is not strong enough to stay open under WOT. This is from reviewing the tune and looking at throttle output.
Second come to find out we aren’t getting fuel to at least one if not more cylinders. Possibly one side not even receiving fuel.
We started to unplug injectors and sure enough you can hear the RPMs change and sound of engine change. But as we got to driver side front injector that one is dead, nothing, it’s not delivering fuel. Could be a sensor or something.
At least one cylinder for sure maybe others as we could reach them all.
Certainly a reason why I wasn’t making the power.
It also confirms the way my car was feeling.
Pulled a couple of plugs and they looked ok.
We are already back into Phoenix and the car is put away. Headed to switch out my rig with driver and we are going to lunch to watch some football.
we will dig into this more once the cars back.
