Has your Race Track posted about Traction Compound Shortage?

Dear Maple Grove Racers,
Many of you are currently aware but for those who are not, there is a traction compound shortage. As the weeks progress, the shortage is becoming a very real issue for MGR. With that being said we are trying to be as proactive as possible by reevaluating upcoming events. The remaining Sunoco Race Fuels ET Series races will now be contested 1/8th mile for all classes. All other events such as Chevy Showdown, Geezers, Nitro Fish Fast Friday Night Test N Tunes, etc. will remain 1/4 mile at this time. The silver lining of this situation is that racers for Super and Pro can use the opportunity to prepare for Bracket Finals. Which will be here at Maple Grove Raceway, September 23-25. We understand this is not the ideal situation but we want to keep racing as planned. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

I have thought of the top end not being that critical for traction compound on a normal weekend. Our track may spray it before they start but after that they never do it again. Mostly only spray to the 330 when they do.

I saw this post about MGR and all I could think about were the times I would go with my husband John "Top Cat" for T&T there.
It usually was a lot less T&T and more waiting for Track clean up. There was NEVER a time we went some old car oiled down the Track, MGR is the one Track Kate and I will still say OMG it's the track that takes forever for clean up!

Could the shortage be that they use more Traction compound?

Houston Raceway Park was stating that they were having a shortage of VHT and decided to mix the track solution with 40% VHT instead of 70%+. Track was still hooking awesome with that mix!
